UEFA Euro 2012 - Group D - ** spoilers ** (England, France, Sweden, Ukraine)

I got this strong feeling tomorrow vs france it's going to be WC 2010 vs germany all over again. We are going to get schooled. Then again, who knows what can happen - England in for the shocker? :o:p
 
If some people feel so strongly against england then I expect these people not to even watch the game.

Im not the greatest fan of international football but I will be hoping england can do as best as they can and I will be supporting them regardless of who we have in the squad.

Blame alex ferguson for rios absence, I do think the media and pretty much everyone should drop this issue now.

Also to say we don't have a good squad is a bit far fetched too, we are by far not the worst team at the tournament. I doubt we are good enough to win it, but to say we have no chance of getting out the group is just plain misery and for you who are so anti-england for whatever reason, don't have the tv on tomorrow evening.
 
You can still appreciate and watch football even if you wanted England to get stuffed?

After all do you only ever watch your team play in the premiership? Do you never watch for example united v Liverpool and hope Liverpool stuff united?

We don't have the worst team in the tournament but it's certainly one of the worst England squads I've ever seen assembled.
 
just on the ferdinand thing. hodgson's stance is it never was an option for him to phone ferdinand as ferdinand is ''not the kind of player you pick to sit on the bench'' .

this is manangement at it's worse, it's gross incompetence tbh. he's essentially overlooking the best option because he doesn't want to hurt feelings. like someone may do in primary school.

I think people are being realistic now that England are very poor and so have one of the worst squads.
 
FA may have told him he can't pick both, would fit his yes man status pretty well and he just has to make up this bull ****. Although I would have taken Ferdinand over Terry

He's making himself look like an idiot, why doesn't he just come out and say that he doesn't want Ferdinand/Terry present in the same team because it's detrimental to team spirit... all of these stupid excuses is just making people lose all respect for him.

I would take terry over (hoof it up and hope for the best) Ferdinand every time, Terry is much better atm.

Not saying I like Terry cus I think hes a ****

I think France are being given a bit too much respect.

Yes, player for player, they do have a very strong team, but they're hardly a really solid unit who pose a huge threat to the likes of Spain and Germany.

Having said that, neither are we. :p

Should be an interesting game. If Downing starts then I'll cry.
