What film did you watch last night?

RIDDICK

Very poor...badly tries to imitate pitch black...film doesnt know what it wants to be....the first 30 minutes is unbearably slow kinda I am Legend motif... Lets just say the start may just put you to sleep and have you wondering if you stepped into the wrong screening.

Storyline sucks...its all over the place....dialogue is even worse. Even Riddick vin diesel himself ...who usually can do no wrong in this role....he looks old out of shape and slow. Certainly do not get the feeling he is a badass furyian killing machine thats for sure.

sadly i would have to say 0 memorable lines...in this film...theres some farcicial camp dialogue between him and katee sackhoff (BSG) but its all so stilted and broken....this film to me feels like a turd version of pitch black...no tension no real threat though there is a moment where the almighty riddick gets injured and we dont even see how...its just stupid.

sullies the name of Riddick. 5/10
 
The monsters are ok (not as good as the ones in pitch black though)

Biggest failing is the script. Im a fan of Riddick so its watchable...thats about it. Well actually theres a couple of scenes which are decent. More gore in this one as well.
 
Just seen riddick, soooo slow. And even when it picked up.. it was still slow.

I like vin diesel a lot but thsi wasnt rgeat, a few badass parts but not what i was expecting anyway.

Elysium
Saw this with Eulogy and Knubje last night. I thought it was really quite good. The visuals weren't as raw as Oblivion but the presentation, action and story is better as well as the cast. Kind of Mad Max in a way with the cars too. Wish they showed more of the orbiting habitat though, maybe told a bit more about how Elysium functions.

Death Sentence
Kevin Bacon stars in a transformational role after a tragedy and we see quite a bit of violence follow. Enjoyable evening flick.
 
Death Sentence is brilliant.
If you like Taken, I think you'll like Death Sentence.
The other movie of similar genre is History of Violence.

3 family men who are forced into violence.
 
First I watched Graceland, although it had subtitles it was not a bad film. About some bloke renting underage girls and killing one of them, her Dad goes for revenge. 6/10

Then I watched 3096 Days which was a true story about the Austrian girl who was kidnapped and held in captivity for 3096 days, apparently the film is a tame version of the actual events. 8/10
