What film did you watch last night?

Joe - 4/10.

Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for it, but I found it incredibly slow and dull. The pacing of it reminded me of The Place Beyond the Pines, which was a total snorefest.

The Delivery man. 3/10

Dire American "comedy" by one of those "hilarious" immigrant American comedian Adam Sandler clones. Vick Vaugn? I cant even or care to remember his name.

Amusing premise for a film turned into drivel and frankly boring after 10 minutes. Cliche BS... I didn't even laugh at the gay jokes....

Thankfully its only 90ish mins long....

So disappointed to see Godzilla getting a pasting on here. My brother confirmed it, so I'm not even going to bother with it. The trailer was so promising. But then aren't they ever. I'm pushing 40 and I still get totally sucked in by a good movie trailer.

Just finished watching Vampire girl Vs Frankenstein girl, well, it started off bad, and went quickly to dreadful. Not a fun dreadful like Toilet Ass zombie of the dead, just bad. 2/10 as the main actress was super pretty.

Tucker and Dale vs Evil

2 hillbillys, a cabin in the woods, the college kids on holiday, misconceptions of the hillbillys and a bit of gore mixed in with a few laughs. Silly and funny in parts for 90 minutes. Sort of like Shawn Of The Dead ish but not if you know what I mean. I liked it but felt like watching something a bit daft

It is an absolutely amazing film. Loved it, one if the few films I've purchased. For when I can't get 3g reception at work.

Watched ages ago not knowing what to expect. Was such a refreshing twist on the slasher movies. Solid 8/10 for me.

hmmm, maybe we just weren't in the proper mood this week. We did enjoy toilet ass last week, and planning on watching Machine Girl soon.

The Machine Girl is waay better than Toilet Ass.
They're both LOLWTF movies, but TMG is on a completely different level of WTFery and just escalates further and further as it goes on.

I actually didn't even finish TA because I got bored near the end and was a little disappointed that of all the chicks in that film, they picked that one to get nekkid... :p

Zodiac. Thriller following the investigation of a serial killer in california who wrote to a San Francisco newspaper, following the police investigation and private obsessive investigation by the newspaper cartoonist (Jake Gyllenhall). Quite a long movie but kept me hooked all the way through. It does a good job of building the excitement as the evidence points towards different suspects, with some tense and creepy scenes, excellent period design covering late 60's to early 90's, and convincing acting. A solid 8.5/10. Recommended.

300 Rise of stupidity 2/10, 3 for Eva's boobs, -1 for having to listen to her stupid voice throughout the film. Just rubbish, rubbish fighting, insanely stupid "tactics" used in the battles, horrendous acting by everyone involved throughout.

Lone Survivor 3/10, meh acting, "go america go, we're all super soldiers", came across as mostly bullcrap and pretty boring/stupid in general.

Bit of a sci-fi romp at the moment but:

Pacific Rim 7/10

Enjoyed it, but not as much as I enjoyed the latest Godzilla film.

Oblivion - 7/10

Not really what I expected it to be but was pleasantly surprised by it. From the trailers it looked like it would be a "big" scifi film, but really a lot of it was on a small scale with a small cast.

Elysium - 6/10

Had some good ideas but it plodded along a bit and you didn't really end up caring emotionally for any of the characters. Shame, because its ideas were interesting.

Edge of Tomorrow 7/10

Again had an interesting plot and invested a little bit more in character development than Elysium but the Groundhog Day stuff got a little tiresome in the middle but it picked it up again in the last third and the ending was quite exciting. Think, Starship Troopers meets Groundhog Day.
