What film did you watch last night?

Django Unchained

A few years late to the party I know, but what an entertaining film. I was hooked from the opening scene, Dr King Schulz is a great character.

It did plod a bit in the third quarter, but the ending was ace too.

8/10

300 part 2. 7/10
Enjoyable action flick apart from the silly 8 stone woman killing men by the boatload fight scenes.

Say Anything last night. I quite liked it. John Cusack seems really natural.

The Firm tonight. Pretty good story, very Grisham. Good cast. Script was a bit patchy at times.

Oculus 6.5/10. Had it's moments but got progressively weaker as it went on.

Philomena 7.5/10. 2 leads were fantastic, shocking and sad.

Vampire Hunter D (original) 8/10. Probably 20 years since last saw this, still quality.

I went on a binge:

Blade Runner (lost count of how many times I have watched it) 10/10

Aliens (uncut with the sentry guns scene, and I love the report of the smartguns) 10/10

Dune ( yes , it's not the greatest movie, can see glimpses of where it could have been) 8.5/10

Dune one of my fav. all time movies. I've got a version with a lot of cut stuff in it. I'm not sure if its a directors cut or fan cut but its very good.

I also love, the SciFi channels 2or3 parter version too.

I haven't watched for a year, i think i will soon :)

Insidious Chapter 2

Watched this last night on my own in a dark room. It scared the crap out of me more than once. Follows on directly from the first film. A must see if you're a fan of the genre.

I watched The Raid 2... It was utterly fantastic. The fight scenes were great, it was brutal and the story was pretty good. Actually better than the first one as maybe the same fighting guys in bleak hallways and horrible rooms got a bit samey. This one is quality and the, I will say BOSS (Or maybe Underboss) Scenes were my favourite.

9.5/10
