What film did you watch last night?

I've just watched Tron, original 1982 film on blu-ray. The re-master / transfer is absolutely bloody stunning! It's one of those films that highly benefit in HD if you've only so far seen the VHS/DVD version. I don't know how they managed the 3D graphics back then? Surely in 1982, the average processor was only 4MHz?

it was animated - only a tiny and brief clip was done by a computer.

Watched Captain America: The Winter Soldier enjoyed it! It's strange as I've never been hugely taken with Captain America as a character but have enjoyed both films very much. I felt this one was a bit standard fare as regards to a superhero film but it was well done and enjoyable.

22 Jump Street
Saw this last week, about as funny as the first with many new jokes to boot. Those two go well on screen together as comic cops

“Something cool!” and "book place" were a few of the highlight moments :D :D

The Duellists - revisited again. Good story and acting. The costumes, scenery and breath-taking cinematography make this a rather special film. 8/10

Film marathon yesterday as was crashed out on the sofa all day with pizza and the cats.

Tomb Raider 1 - Despite the cheeseyness I am a sucker for adventure/end of the world type films. 5/10

Tomb Raider 2 - Worst than the first one for sure. 3/10

Bad Neighbours - Laughed a fair few times, didn't lose interest but nor was it something I'd think wow that was good. 6/10

The Possession of Michael King - At last a horror/creepy film that actually had me on edge not massively but better than these usual types. The Conjuring I thought was a proper lame formulaic horror. This had some great ideas in the scare factor scenarios. 7/10

U571 , dont know how i missed this for 14 years , love a good sub film.
Pretty enjoyable , probably historically inaccurate but it did tell you at the end who captured the enigma devices.

Just been to see The Riot Club. My girlfriend absolutely despised it and I quite liked it. A wholy outrageous film depicting deplorable behaviour. It was quite funny and utterly sickening all at the same time. 6/10

The Signal 4/10

started okay then it just started to loose me, especially towards the emd

The only negative I can find for THE SIGNAL (2014) is how the female lead is treated, I get the why but it still could have been done in a way that allowed the female to take part in the movie.

The reveals had me agog each and every time, brilliant.

COHERENCE (2013).

A pretty good low budget romp through theoretical physics.

"wine?, cheese?, ketamine?"

Anchorman 2 - The legend continues

8.5/10

Really enjoyed it. I like the first one (7/10) but I don't rate it as high as most seem to. I thought the second was much funnier. Although it's no 'Old School'.
