What film did you watch last night?

Went to see Lucy the other night - an decent film with a very interesting premise that went horribly off the rails towards the end! (although having said that I'm not sure what would have been a more appropriate ending!?!?)

7/10

A Million Ways To Die In The West - It's borderline watchable, IMHO. The amount of pointless swearing is beyond ridiculous, to the point it was making me cringe after a while! There's a few funny bits in it and lets be honest, who doesn't like staring at Charlize Theron?

5.5/10

Seth seems out of place in the clips I've seen of AMWTDITW, as if he realised he was totally outclassed on all directions and decided just to play the ham and let the rest of the crew carry the movie.
How did you find Seth's delivery?

I found A Millions ways to die in the west quite funny actually. I agree that Seth cast wrongly as the lead himself, but Charlize Theron was good, Liam Neeson was good also, I think everyone was better than him. Even "It's LEGEDENDARY Barney" steels the scene when he is on over Seth.

But I laughed a couple of times, way better than Transformers 4.

Honestly? Awkward.

There were a few scenes where he carried himself okay, but the rest were just that, awkward. Throwing random swear words into the dialog (usually 'f*ck' or '*******') made it even worse.

Two people saved it from a 3.5/4- N.P.H. and Liam Neeson.

It's a slapstick adult humour wild west comedy romp. It's going to have lots of swearing in it. I don't know what you were expecting lol, a Clint Eastwood flick?

I thought a Million Ways was funny throughout and took it for what it is rather than what I might have wanted it to be.

Definitely not. Like I said, it was funny in places. Swearing because it's funny and swearing for the sake of it are two different things though.

It's all personal opinion, tbf.

Cheers guys, I will get round to watching this one as the cast are my favourites but for some reason Seth jangles my teeth in movies.

Except apart from a few laughs it wasn't funny, the humour was little more than a few jokes told throughout and generally failed to deliver. No where near as good as Ted and less laughs than Family Guy (even the recent ones). Given those involved it was a disappointment.

The Riot Club - Well made film though it didn't feel complete in a way 7/10

Killer Joe - Oh my word what is this. More funny that tense or dramatic, though perhaps that was the intention? 6/10

Cloud atlas. Utter rubbish. Honestly one of the worst films I've ever seen. How anyone managed to keep a straight face is beyond me. The ludicrous accents, the costumes, the wigs, the oh look he's a woman in this era. Urgh. Trying so hard to be clever and it was just tripe. Awful.

Mind you, the wife liked it, so who knows.

I agree there is a lot of dodgy acting and makeup. But I thought the story itself was fantastic. One of my favourite films recently.
