What film did you watch last night?

Big Hero 6 - Great film. Loved the animation and effects. Definitely targeted to a slightly older audience than I expected. Wasn't surprised to hear it won the Oscar for best animated film this morning. 8.5/10

Just watched that too ;) Not a bad film at all 9/10

Neighbours loved the sound effects :D I think.

Each to their own I suppose.

I can live with a few 'Hollywood' liberties but the last 20 minute scene at the crossroads is just farcical imo, like a scene from The Expendables rather than a realistic portrayal of WW2.

Nice to see a real Tiger tank in action though.

Watched Interstellar over the weekend. 3/10 - and that's just just for the cool blackhole images.

It just drags on and on and on, and WTF is the ending all about?
I appreciate it's a sci-fi film, and that no-one really knows what happens inside a blackhole, but we're supposed to believe that he falls into it, travels back in time to leave his daughter a message, and then what? Falls out of the blackhole back into normal space just in time to be rescued?

Or do we need that "I'm not saying it's aliens..." photo?
I think it's one of those films that's more style than substance.

I really wanted to watch Byzantium as it's been on Film4 a few times, but my Sky box messed up the recording. Is it worth watching?

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1

Boring cloying and no improvement over the others. Maybe there was enough material for one more film (combine Part 1 and 2) as this feels very stretched out with countless filler. Some good action sequences just don't make up for the lack of pace.

Another one for the teen Twilight market.

3.5/10

Also watched this, I was sooooooooooooooooo bored the whole through. I've seen them all, and still the GF had to keep explaining to me what was going on. I think the whole movie experience would've been better for her if I wasn't there. Dreadful. 2/10

Cowboys and Aliens. Average action, slightly inventive premise. Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford do a decent job with what they were given.

well someones gotta watch it, and I aint embarrassed in the slightest

Fifty Shades of Grey - 7/10

My expectations were incredibly low. You know what, I kinda enjoyed it lol It's not supposed to be an oscar winning film, just a new age Twilight imho.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows
Enjoyed the first one so thought this would be worth a watch. I'm not sure how this gets 7.5 on IMDB, the story was boring and all over the shop, and it was really very dull.
4/10

We watched that the other night. I thought it was rubbish as well. It's just Captain Jack Holmes mucking about, and then ooh something clever happens but we need a gimmicky flashback/forward to explain it. Tripe.

We watched License to Kill last night. I liked it, though the tanker chase at the end got a bit out of hand. I was quite amused to see that both the Special Agent Johnsons from Die Hard were in it.

This may be a bit of a cop out but it's not exactly a normal black hole.
Humans from the future (possibly millions of years into the future) have changed the construct of the black hole so that cooper can do what he needs to do.

Watched Birdman. I actually really liked it. 7/10.

Donnie Darko. First time I watched it. Really enjoyed it but WTF! It was the original version, not the director's cut so now doing some Googling, and uncovering the PU, TU and PoTT theories :)

Lucy - I really enjoyed it want more !
Although I did find the ending a bit meh.

That's the one ... not jude lol.

I liked it.. it's fun.. it's sic-fi and it's got johannson in it.

A good 6.5/10 if you like sci-fi then this is a decent film. If you're expecting titanic drama.. then this isn't for you!
