What film did you watch last night?

That's not how I understood it - my understanding was that he used the vibranium to connect to the drill and somehow magnetise it to hold the huge chunk of earth together so he could drop it and kill off mankind!

I thought that the Vision was physically finished - all he had left to do was download his base consciousness into him!?!?!?

From Wikipedia: The synthetic being, now referred to as the Vision, and the Maximoffs accompany the Avengers to Sokovia, where Ultron has used the remaining vibranium to build a machine to lift a large part of the city skyward, intending to crash it into the ground to cause global extinction

In the comics Ultron himself was virtually impossible to damage, let alone destroy!
No, he used some of the vibranium together with the genetic engineers pod thing to create the body, there's a sequence showing the metal merging with the bodies cells in the lab scene, with the assumption that, like Captain's shield the body would then be indestructible - that's why there was a mad dash to stop him downloading himself into the body

The Paperboy - 6/10

Sleazy, dark, gory, sexual film set in the American deep south in the 60's. Quite a cast with Matthew 'mumble' McConaughey, John Cusack, Nicole Kidman (looking hot in a cheap sleazy way! ;) )

It was a little disjointed with the characters, not great but definitely watchable.

Going clear: Scientology and the prison of belief - 8/10

Holymoly I knew that it was a little bit odd but I thought it was mostly harmless, this scared me, how have they got away with a fraction of the stuff they've done?

I know that he intended to essentially put his own consciousness into the new body and that he'd used the vibranium in the construction - but in the comics Ultron himself was made of adamantium and what I meant was that I thought he'd be doing the same with the vibranium - independently of the construction of Vision!

Perhaps it's the later iterations of Ultron that were made of the harder stuff that I'm thinking about!

Selma

Fact based drama/biography about Martin Luther King's Civil Rights Movement during the 60's in America. Good supporting cast and a good likeness and portrayal of MLK by David Oyelowo. Only complaint was that I felt it could have stepped up a gear. It seemed a little too slow moving at times. Still, good film and worth a watch.

Avengers - Age of Ultron 8.5/10

Almost on par with Guardians of the Galaxy for humour, you will miss so much of it if you dont pay attention. Good fun if you like the other Marvel films. A few scenes of character development that drag on but otherwise another Hit.

Tyrannosaur - 9 / 10

Wow, what a powerful movie.

Gritty, hard hitting, down to earth like only the British can make. Absolutely stellar performances by the two main characters, Peter Mullan and Olivia Colman.

This was Paddy Considines directorial debut, and what a fantastic first film it is. Has a lot of overtones of Gary Oldmans work, like Nil by Mouth, so if you liked that you will love this.

Interstellar 6/10

I though it was ok, not as good as i was hoping, it went silly towards the end for me

I have a few questions though i hope can be cleared up

Would time dialation really effect that chap who was orbiting while the 2 were on the planet? surely he'd age give or take same as those on the planet?

If these robots could be programmed like there were (humour, honesty etc) could fly a ship, could walk around etc, why wernt they just sent on the mission?

and last question, the robot mentions he disables the auto docking precedure as he didnt trust Dr Mann, why did he never mention this before it all went wrong?
