What film did you watch last night?

FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE

Kinda sad that all the people from this film seem to have died quite early except for clintwood.

Wiki doesnt say so maybe Im wrong but what modern tune has used some of the chords from this tune

is it right that the dvd version lets you play it backwards

Cape Fear

Never seen it before, quite good, De Niro stole the film, as i don't really like Nolte much.

3/5

'Crash' (2004). Not the Cronenberg one.

Matt Dillon is outstanding in this and the set pieces - notably the gun scene (no spoilers) - are simply fantastic.

It was obviously heavily influenced by 'Magnolia' but it's sharper, more taut and more direct. A great, great film.

The Lovely Bones

I watched this after having read the book and yes it leaves out a lot of content but of course it does...you can't get 330 pages into 2 hours of film, so for those moaning about that please give it a rest.

I thought Peter Jackson did really well! The sound in the film was exceptional (well I noticed it, which I usually don't) the casting was brilliant and in general I thought it was very well done.

The Pianist

Really one of the most depressing films I've seen but thoroughly recommended. Adrien Brody was pretty good but needed more dirt on his face[/random]. I didn't like the random injections of depressing, violent and xenophobia shots. To me, that's bad storytelling and directing.

New Moon (Twilight 2) - I am 29 year old male and though that Twilight 1 was quite good (I know I know) but this New Moon is just an excuse to make more money imo.

Brooklyn's Finest

Eh!? I didn't get the point of this at all, the whole plot just seemed pointless. There was no given or obvious destination for the narrative to end. I zoned out several times when the dialogue got really thick because it just wasn't interesting. The 'climax' where they all end up in roughly the same place seemed pointless too, like a half-arased attempt to make the film interesting. Meh... and I wanted to see more of Snipes because hes not been around much lately.

If people enjoyed Taken. I urge you to watch Man on Fire, it's a similar film but imo, much much better.

Other way round imo, taken is much much better than man on fire, i found denzel looked bored in that film and i was right there being bored with him as well, a very dull movie.

That was a superb film.

I'd like to see that too.

Watched this on your advice, its half an hour too long imo with not a lot happening throughout.

Too long and not enough happening.
For a film about one mans experience within prison I'd say that's right on the money. ;)
