What film did you watch last night?

Piñera Vuelve a Chile y Viajará a Zona del Accidente en la Mina San José los 33 Mineros Están Vivos, tras Permanecer 17 días Atrapados. Deeply emotional film about the infamous 2010 Chilean mining disaster, starring Antoñio H. Bañderas and Lou J. J. M. 'Diamond' Phillips.

7.5/10.

Burying the Ex - 6/10

Was alright, beautiful female leads but why they are so desperate for a guy who rides a non-powered scooter and has little personality I do not know.

You sure? Story was awful and is a complete insult to game franchise IMO. I prefered the one with olyphant in it and even that was bad. You're right about the Doris in it though!

I liked it for the action, wasn't too keen on the slow motion parts though, I felt like 47 was too good though, apart from the John smith guy, no one could even touch him!

What annoyed me the most is that they cast Rupert Friend who is a British actor, but he portrayed the character with an American accent, but Agent 47 had a British accent in the games

Agent 47 - Meh it was alright thats about it. 5/10

Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials - WTF did i just watch? 2/10

Event Horizon, had forgotten how much I liked this movie and a fantastic cast. 9/10

Amazing to think that its almost 20 years old, not sure there has been any great films of its genre since

think ive only seen that once but i do remember gong thru the quick flash scenes frame by frame.....yikes

True Romance - 8/10

Yeah that was great too :) and with Gary Oldman in the club near the beginning, he's such a great actor. Another great performance from him was in Leon, another classic! You wouldn't of thought he is big Mo's brother from EastEnders IRL would you? :p

I also like the the theme tune on the movie too.

The Gift. Written by Joel Edgerton. Directed by Joel Edgerton. Stars Joel Edgerton as Joel Edgerton.

A young couple is concerned that an old acquaintance might have become a Muslim... or worse!

Jason H. Bateman puts in a steely performance for this slow burning thriller. Eduard Grau's cinematography is superb, as usual.

8/10.

The Quiet Earth. Shot with a controversial cast of just six people—only three of which are speaking parts—this mid-80s apocalyptic sci-fi drama stars the legendary Bruno H. Lawrence as a white man whose troubled relationship with a Maori threatens to destroy them both.

8/10.

maze runner the scorch trials

It was OK but needlessly dragged out over what is it 3 films ? The scorch trials trials could have been wrapped up a lot sooner

It was basically, escape run, run , run stop, run some more, stop..... oh lets go back

Super (2010)

Not entirely sure how I feel about it, it's a small independent low budget film with great cast and performances to boot that happens to be well made. Violence feels very visceral and quite unsettling in places despite us seeing far worse in films nowadays but I just have no idea what to make of it as a whole. Almost feels like an inside joke between a bunch of writers who thought the whole script up while having a few beers down a pub.

Lot of moral ambiguity in the film too but again not sure to what end, also plenty of mental health issues undertones and can certainly be called a true dark comedy.
