What film did you watch last night?

Two for me:-

Kill List - really odd but very good early film from Ben Wheatley about a couple of hitmen who get involved in something more deadly than they thought. I found it surprisingly tense and it certainly gets you wondering just what is going on! 4/5

Absolutely Anything - heard bad things about this but I laughed quite a bit, nothing too special but Robin Williams stole the show, Pythons wasted. 3/5

13 Hours - The Secret Soldiers Of Benghazi 8/10

Really enjoyed this film.

Only heard of the Benghazi attack from watching programs like the Daily Show and basically how the poor sods had to fend for themselves whilst the politicians sat on their hands :(

One thing that it has taught me, to be a PMC you have to rock some serious facial hair :D

Mortar attack sequence was spectacular

Love and Mercy. Biopic about Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys, with Paul Dano doing sterling work as the younger Wilson and John Cusack playing him in middle age. Very interesting to see how he made his music, and how he was treated by some people.

Yeah I enjoyed it...Cusack was surprisingly OK in the role.

Zootopia

Class! Easily one of the best animated films I've ever seen. Some of the graphics were brilliant, great jokes, and just a lovely imagined world.

9/10

Eye in the sky 4/10
US technology propaganda
Also I doubt they put emphatic people in charge of drone strikes.
Many news stories has many civilians losing their lives in reality.

Enjoyed it, seen it before but the misses hadn't.

Watched Captain America Winter soldier last night/ tonight.

Not as good but still good.

Not sure if troll?

First Avenger is one of the worst MCU movies while on the other end of the spectrum Winter Soldier is one of the best...IMO of course :)

the real (unspoken) focus of the referendum should be how much power this corrupt, unelected, gravy-train riding bunch of Eurocrats have and how much more they want. It was very eye-opening for me.

Civil servants are never elected. MPs and MEPs (the ones who give the orders to the civil servants) are elected, so I don't see the issue here.

Except... the politicians weren't sitting on their hands.

Diplomatic Security Service agents/Regional Security Officers informed their headquarters in Washington about the attack just as it was beginning at about 9:40 local time (3:40 pm Eastern Time (ET)). At the time, they were informed that the attack was a "terrorist attack".

By 4:30 pm ET, Pentagon officials had informed Defense Secretary Leon Panetta about the attack. The Pentagon ordered an unmanned aerial vehicle that was in the air conducting surveillance on militant camps to fly over Benghazi. The drone arrived at 11:10 pm local time (5:10 pm ET) and began providing a video feed to Washington. At 5:41 pm ET, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton telephoned CIA Director David Petraeus to coordinate.

The CIA, which made up most of the U.S. government's presence in Benghazi, had a ten-member security team at its annex and the State Department believed that this team would assist the consulate in the event of an attack.
