What film did you watch last night?

Logan - 9/10. Really enjoyed it, I don't know what the last X-Men film was that I saw so I may have missed a bit of the back story but it didn't detract from my enjoyment any. Got some definite The Last of Us vibes from it too at times.

More comic book hero films like this, please.

Agreed and for me ahead of pretty much everything in the Genre (aside maybe V for vendetta) due to actually having some content.

The Dark Knight is deffo the best super hero film... I remember seeing it on the opening day and there being genuine gasps and laughs of nervous shock during the joker scenes... particularly that pencil trick! Was absolutely revitting and the ending was great.

Wasn't too fussed with the first and third in that series.

Begins 7/10
Dark Knight 9/10
BAIIIiiinnnn 7/10

Outside of those, I think Gaurdians of the Galaxy was the best. If we are restricting it to well known super heroes, then it would probably go to the first Iron Man film.
Despite naff ending I disagree with ur rating of begins (more 8s than 7s) similarly Id put in a reducer for dark knight, A Great joker in overly long muddled story with horror well lit "Sausages the dog" batman scenes a classic doesn't make!

Ghost in the shell 6.9/10.
I wanted to like it, like minority report some visions of the future are interesting and develop on the source material. The emphasis on explaining everything to the audience is annoying, tension is often lacking and visually the close in, cities by day are far better than opening sweeping shots at night. Great actors and characters often feel wasted and under used. It's not a total horror, but I wouldn't suggest anyone goes out of their way to see it.

Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance - 8/10.

Fantastic film. Looking forward to watching Lady Vengeance soon. Have seen Oldboy multiple times, good to finally watch the others in the Vengeance trilogy! :)

That review doesn't match the score :p

Check out ''Dalkomhan insaeng'' (aka A Bittersweet Life (2005) along with Chan-wook Park's vengeance trilogy it's one of my all time favourite S. Korean films!
Also Kyung-taek Kwak's 2001 Chingoo (aka Friend (2001) ) is an utter masterpiece and a must see if you haven't already.

Split 4/10

Didn't really enjoy this at all and struggled through the two hour running time.Mcavoy was good but the story was incredibly threadbare....and for an MNS film it basically didn't have a twist.

Thanks for the recommendation! I've already seen A Bittersweet Life, but that was years ago. So might see if I can get hold of the blu-ray if it exists at some point.
Will check out Friend for sure! :)
