What film did you watch last night?

Avatar : the way Of Water.

Wasnt expecting anything new more of the same as the first film but in water , but actually enjoyed it.

an hour too long but a solid 8/10.

Wyvern on Prime.

Every now and again I like to watch, what is obviously, a bad film and Wyvern didn't fail to deliver. It was reasonably enjoyably crap. I have to be careful and keep these films 90 mins or less as if I switch my grain off for more than 90 mins, I soil myself on the sofa.

Sicario https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3397884/

For some unknown reason, I enjoyed this quite a lot more than the first time I saw it. No idea why I didn't initially rate it as highly as I do now.

The music really does add to the tension, and there are great performances by all involved. Great cast e.g. Brolin, Del Toro, Blunt and directed by Denis Villeneuve.

Favourite movie of the 2010's without a doubt - only have minor grumbles of which are apparent as i've watched it about 5 times :D

Just watched deep impact from 1998 staring morgan freeman and Téa Leoni

gave it a 8/10

yeah, it was a armaggedon knock off but it still was a good watch.

Wildly entertaining visuals, but I always find umbrage in the scientific mistakes they make. Hollywood just make so many, I find it takes the edge of films like that. Silly me.

After how good Picard has been with S3, i've been watching through all the movies the last few weeks and i'm going to be frank, they've mostly aged like milk, even Khan which outside of it's few iconic moments, is a damned slog.

Funnily, the movie I hated most as a kid Voyage Home is the one I enjoyed the most this time (out of the first 5), actually felt like the cast were having fun, first few movies felt like they begrudged doing movies and were phoning the lines in - it's only Koenig that ever seemed like he was happy to be there.

1) Motion Picture - 5/10 - so needlessly dragged out, it's a 30 min TOS episode essentially.
2) Wrath of Khan - 6.5/10 - the few key famous scenes elevate it a bit more - always helf on a pedestal as best trek but enjoyed 6 so much more. Plummer > Montalbán
3) Search for Spock - 5.5/10 - meh
4) Voyage Home - 7/10 - my god Jim, we're actually enjoying ourselves.
5) Final Frontier - 4/10 - how did this get made - there is hardly anything redeeming here whatsoever, only gets a few points for the sexy Romulan ;)
6) Quest for Peace ;) - 7.5/10 - now this is more like it, actually engaging characters, Klingons that aren't just russian archetypes, a decent conspiracy, this was a lot of fun.
7) Generations - 6/10 - there's half a good movie here somewhere with a bit of a recut and tidier editing, it could be quite engaging.

Started First Contact last night but fell asleep once they were back in time so will update once i've watched the rest.

Definitely a rule of evens being the better movies though but it's a weak movie series overall, shame as I had fond memories from growing up alongside these :(

Voyage home was my favourite.

Quite a bit of comedy the old "nuclear wessel" and "double dumbass to you to".

I don't mind the others so much outside of the first one, I thought the first one was horrendous, even back in the day first time watching it.

True lies ( 1994 ). Film with Mr Arnie Schwarzenegger

Film about secret agent arnie saving America with 90s with classic arnie prowess

It was a good watch . It was an action comedy with bits a comedy in the right places .

10/10. Nothing to do with fact that I always have a massive bias towards 80s/90s films:D

A solid 10/10

excellent script and humour put in at the right points . quality acting by the big man himself

why? yes, I have a bias towards 80/90s films because compared to the trash films being made tody films back then were so much better
