What film did you watch last night?

Ive not seen it since release but i remember it being a great film that i want to rewatch, i also recommend The Illusionist which came out the same year.
I'll check that out, thanks! *Just checked, it's on prime! Bonus
Agreed, one of my top films
Yeah! I'm not sure why, maybe I wasn't in the mood for it first time round or whatever but this time I was hooked throughout. Will rewatch again soon

One of several actors I like is Ben Affleck, so despite the mediocre rating on IMDB,
I was quite happy to see what this was like.

I found it to be quite an intense but still enjoyable movie, and also unpredictable.
I was never quite sure what was going to happen next. Worth checking out for a one-off viewing.

I don't know if the intention was to sway the viewer against the girlfriend, Melinda, and another member of the cast, Don,
but it worked. I really wanted Affleck to dispatch both of them. All roles were very well acted.

I love Ana, that's all I have to add, i'll fight anyone for her - beautiful, humble, sexy as they come - MINE!!!!

Seven Kings Must Die. Pacing was all over, felt very rushed...it would have been better to have had a 6th season instead. Athelstan's character seemed way off.

I still enjoyed it as it was more of The Last Kingdom and nice to wrap it up but was a bit underwhelming.

How to blow up a pipeline, 6/10, I had seen online hype for this movie being touted as the best movie of 2023 so far, so thought I'd give it a go.

Acting was solid with a decent cast and a straightforward story. A bunch of eco activists all with interesting, related to the plot, backstories decide to hit "the man" where it hurts by blowing up an oil pipeline and also to stop us all boiling to death in 5 years, I did find the bomb making elements fairly intense.

Oppenheimer (2023) - 7/10

An informative and dramatic biopic on the father of the atomic bomb, but it’s not as stylish or atmospheric as Nolan’s other films.

It’s an engaging and interesting story covering powerful topics with some tension in the first half as they race to create the bomb followed by a ‘legal drama’ exploring the aftermath in the second.

Superb acting performances from the varied cast and the science was demonstrated and explained well, but the sex scenes felt out of place and the visuals, although impressive, were too few and far between.
