What film did you watch last night?

Return of the Jedi 8/10
Still a good film despite the Lucas tinkering, the song...

Seen the main trilogy over the last few weekends, final rankings
Star Wars - 7/10, film is a bit basic and the worst additions
Empire - 9/10, best of them, the least obtrusive changes
Jedi - 8/10, again with the song
Rogue One - 8.5/10, I just like it

Had a right binge the last few days (new born) -
Unforgiven 4/5
Money train 3.5/5
A fistful of dollars 4/5
Butch Cassidy and Sundance kid 4/5
His girl Friday 4/5
Dr strange love 4/5
Blues brothers 4/5
Dazed and confused 4/5
Ferrari 3.5/5
Shooting fish 4/5

3.5 is a rare rewatch for me. 4 is a solid rewatch. Anything more is godlike.

My Penguin Friend, it was a choice between this or Speak no Evil but ive had a long day and was looking for something a bit more light-hearted, sure it takes liberty's of the story that "inspired" the film, the acting and some of the action is somewhat questionable but Jean Reno holds it together enough to make it a worth while watch and im rather glad i choose this.

The Platform 2 - 6/10

I quite liked the first one but it didn't really need another, treads a lot of the same ground. I will say if you do watch it make sure you remember the first one quite well because it is tied closer than you think.

A Quiet Place Day One (2024)

If it hadn't been the third film in the franchise, then I probably would've rated it higher. It's not that's it's a bad film, it just threads the same path as the previous installments.

5/10
