What film did you watch last night?

Threads. It wasn’t as traumatic as people say. Maybe I’ve heard too much hype about it or thought about the implications of nuclear war too much but it was more or less what I expected.

That made me laugh to be fair!

Sadly not, some woman got told to shut up as she turned up late and was talking ,so after being told to shut up she attacked the man who told her to shut up and started punching him in the face so he started fighting back then her mates jumped in and attacked him too and his gf as well.

All in front of youngish children. Ridiculous adulting.

I cannot believe i missed your post o m g. Thats outrageous. Funny as a bystander not if your in the audience. Where was this if you dont mind me asking? How did it end the fight that is? Hopefully didn't cancel the showing.

Wimbledon! Security came in and broke it up and then the 2 groups, a couple and the group of 4,totalling 6 people all got thrown out, film carried on.

John Woo’s The Killer. I've never seen it before but I did know of it, so when it came up on amazon next to hard boiled I thought now was a good as time as any, good action film with the over the top action you would expect from early John Woo, good time all round. :)

Nice, not seen this, I had a better tomorrow 1 and 2 at one point, seems this was after, think a uni module was on him.

Your "early John Woo" confused me as there is a 2024 remake of the The Killer by him, which is what my searches were brining up intiially!

Will add the original to my watchlist

The Substance

8/10 for most of the movie.
1/10 for final 20mins.

They could have ended this on the final bathroom scene and it would have been a very disturbing, classic movie, showing the (graphic!) lengths people will go to keep their youth. However, the movie makers chose to keep going and it got more ridiculous and tedious.

If they had stopped when the 'mutant' appeared from Sue, it would have been perfect - very Cronenberg-esque. But both the wifey and i had eye rolling and couldn't wait for it end. The dream scene and The Thing face crawler was a step too far

Demi Moore was fantastic, fair play to her as an actress.

Joker : Folie a Deux - 1/10
Didnt go to see it but missed the time of the film we went to see due to traffic so just bought tickets for this on the hop as we liked the first one, didnt clock it was a ******* musical, we hate musicals, I mean really hate them so this the worst piece of utter dross I've had the misfortune to endure in a long while.
Wtf were they thinking spewing this out?

My wife walked out at about 2hrs and sat in Starbucks while I finished the film, I wish I would have joined her.
