What film did you watch last night?

Angels and Demons - While watching it I couldn't remember if I'd seen it or not and I don't think I had before because the major plot bit wasn't something I remembered. Either way it was only about a 6/10 for me, occupied an evening sitting on the sofa but nothing special.

Terrfier 3.

Thought it was funny tbh and not that brutal apart from a particular scene with a chainsaw...ouch.

Thought I'd do the others first, so yesterday watched

Terrifier - 5.5/10

Not great but not that bad for the horror slasher genre it is and it depicts the low budget 80's style well (whether that's intentional or not I don't know!) but it does look every cent of the $35,000 budget it was made on! :D Terrifier 2 next, and with a near 10x the budget at $250,000 I'm expecting it to be significantly better made. Terrifier 3 had a near 10x budget again at $2M

Deadpool & Wolverine - 7.5 /10

Enjoyed this more than I was expecting to, silly at times of course but funny throughout.

Alien : Romulus - 6 / 10

Wanted more and was left a bit disappointed. Felt it didn't have the gravitas of an 'Alien' movie and like other sentiments expressed, I just didn't care about the protagonists which then kills all forms of suspense.

Chavs in Space (Alien: Romulus) - well i thouroughly enjoyed it. Its not up there with 1, 2 or 3DC but its a good 4th. I'd certainly add it to a sequential run through of the 4 films in future.

Genuine chortle at “chavs in space”

I was calling it Alien : Chavulus but stealing yours.

Anyway, see it recently. Giving it an 6/10 myself let down by relying on member berrys and genuinely annoying cast members.

Alien Romulus 6/10

Way too much ripped off from the proper alien films, expendable cast (other than the android guy who was quite good) and a poor final act let down what could have been a really good film. Not bad though I guess.

The Inbetweeners Movie - 8/10
The Inbetweeners 2 - 5/10

Following on from a rewatch of the whole 3 seasons of the show, followed it up with the movies. The 1st I've seen many times, probably about 5-6 times. A real guilty pleasure of mine. It's a great ending to the series and very re-watchable. They honestly should have ended it there.

The second, not so much, just watched it for the sake of completion. It finally takes the smut to a level where it's no longer funny and the cringe level is really high. Also, too many penises.

Yesterday (2019) - 9/10

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8079248/

4th time i've watched this. The film is already a timeless classic to me and I will be watching it again multiple more times.
You don't even need to like the Beatles to enjoy this, the 1st time I watched it I didn't even know some of the featured songs were even by the Beatles. You end up singing along without realising. A really great feel good film.

Himesh Patel (sings his own songs), Lily James, Ed Sheeran, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Meera Syal, Sarah Lancashire. All British institutions in their own right. All amazing in this.

I bet no-one thought little Tamwar from Eastenders would be fronting his own Hollywood films and TV shows. I reckon he's the most successful Eastenders Alumni ever.

The Killer's Game - 4/10

Half of the time it felt like a John Wick rip off, the other half it felt like a John Wick spoof. Tone is all over the place, feels like it wants to be a romance, action and comedy film and fails to be any of them really.
