What film did you watch last night?

Monkey Man iTunes. Had read this described an the Indian John Wick, well there is a cute dog in it and it's a revenge story but there's no bullet proof suits and gold coin's. Enjoyed the film, 6/10.
 
Brothers on Prime, you would think with Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage it would be half decent but no.... I think I lasted half an hour and switched it off.
 
Continuing the Disney films. Tonight was Dumbo from 1941

It's frankly not the best film Disney have done. Pacing isn't great, we all kinda knows what happens, but it doesn't happen until towards the end of the film and it's then it's pretty much fly and then the end. It does have a warning about harmful stereotypes at the start of it now. Strangely it's the crows that provide the only song that people remember from the film.

Glad I've finally seen it, probably won't watch it again.
 
Alien Romulus. 5/10.

For me, I found it very poor. Some good ideas, bogged down by too much fan service and unnecessary bits. Andy was the best character and actor, the rest were awful, even Cailee Spaeny who I liked in Civil War. The effects seemed a bit wonky too. Meh.

Totally agree with this. I gave it a 6/10 at the time of watching, but thinking about it it's more a 5. It mostly looks pretty good and has some good moments, but overall it's not a great movie.
 
Star Wars Rogue One (2016)

Third time I seen it, you know what this is a damn good movie. Its not quite.......the original ones, but I reckon its pretty close.

It's like, just for once, Disney turned off all the gay, and you're like, wow, they can actually really make a decent movie. IF anything, it makes you even more butthurt about all the other ones, because you watch them, and you are just like why? Why did you do this Disney?

I also cannot believe its now 8 years since I seen it in the cinema.

It's my favourite one behind the original trilogy. I recently got the 3D Blu Ray and it's grewt in 3D.

Would love to see the early cut though with the trailer footage and totally different ending.
 
Alien Romulus - 6.5/10

Enjoyable enough watch with some good effects. Shame about the cast, apart from Andy they were pretty bland and generic.
Does some weird stuff with the Alien movie timeline though. Not quite sure how we get from this to Aliens...
