What film did you watch last night?

Very surprised its far from perfect but it one of my favourite Vampire movies. I like the danger and lethality from the antagonists. Also how easily infection can take place which suited the setting of the story with the Cold dark environment as well.
I can understand how people might enjoy this film. If it were called 'Vampire Weekend' I would have considered scoring it a 6.

I watched it for the 30-day premise, but it didn’t deliver. It went downhill after the first half. There’s absolutely no sense of time passing, no tension, or dread of being hunted. In fact, it barely seemed like an inconvenience—Charlie had a vampire-proof attic. Then, they skip ahead 18 days for a quick vampire set piece, jump again to 28 days, and rush into the final showdown before the movie ends.

Been a while since i watched 30 days of Night, but remember it being pretty good.

Will have to give it another viewing as i don't remember it jumping ahead so many days at a time.

Also was not aware of a sequel.

Terrifier 3 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt27911000/

I've seen this series mentioned a lot of late, and was a bit wary of watching as I don't care much for low-budget/Scream type movies, especially if they throw humour in. Well, I was pleasantly surprised, and as someone else said, it certainly doesn't pull the punches in places. The main antagonist is very creepy Indeed! I also thought it was about the right runtime, though maybe it could have sliced off a few minutes here and there...

You not watch the first two? Also Terrifier :)

Anora - wasn't sure what to expect but thought it was great 8/10. Check out 'Red Rocket' a film by the same director. That's great too.

Super/Man - The Christopher Reeve documentary. Lump in throat time!

Finished off LoTR extended Trilogy
Two Towers
Return of the King.

Powder (1995 ) - My Dad used to come back with a few videos as part of the Ritz promotions - 2 for 3 etc. This was one of the lesser known titles I remember him bringing home. Stars Sean Patrick Flanery from The Young Indian Jones Chronicles. Feels like lot Phenomenon staring John Travolta, both not widely reverred but enjoyable stuff.

Breakdown (1997)

I thought I'd seen this before, in the VHS days. But now I think only saw the trailer. Either way I found it very enjoyable, far better than I was expecting it to be. Hats off to the stuntmen and women.

7/10

Horror in the High Desert

In July 2017, an outdoor enthusiast went missing in northern Nevada. He was never located. Friends and loved ones recall the events and, for the first time, talk about the horrific conclusion to his fate.

Enjoyed this for what it was. Nothing groundbreaking but kept me interested. 5.5/10.
