What film did you watch last night?

Watching it right now, absolute classic, 10/10: Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls

dont you feel you have watched dr strangelove just to prove to yourself your a movie connoisseur .

i watched it and felt it was a very overated film .

a lot of the films that the arty type people say are great or mags are a load of rubbish
 
Watched Hangover 2, which was a bit of a disappointed to be honest. In fairness it was always going to be tough to be on par with the first. 6/10

Really, really want to watch Kill Bill on iPlayer, but I has no time :(
 
Just watched The Godfather, for the No.2 film in history it was a little dull. The last part had a lot of killing in it but there was a lot of talking. I feel that this really isn't my type of film. I would take watching a comedy over it any day tbh. I feel a bit silly saying all of these classic films aren't too good but maybe I'm just not a film guy :L
Still, it told a good story, I just lost interest a few times, enough to browse the OcUK forums in split screen anyway.

I really enjoyed this...it was fairly easy watching and didnt seem to try too hard to be serious etc.

Well worth a watch if you like vampires etc

I watched it because people say it's great and it's high on the IMDB top 250 which I'm slowly working through. I don't have anything to prove to myself. I already am fussy about what films I watch and am highly critical of them. I'm not watching it to prove anything. Why did you watch it? To try to prove the same to yourself?

And it is very good. It's dark and funny and the satire of MAD is really well done.
 
Aeon Flux - had saved this on my tv hdd and thought I'd watch it in my hungover state this morning. Hard to really put it in to words. I liked most parts of it, some parts not and some parts were just plain weird like the woman with 4 hands LOL. Was a good story and kept me watching all the way through 6/10
 
X-Men: First Class. Typical Marvel movie of today; not particularly deep, rushes through everything quickly to get from A to B, full of montages, quick changes of character (lol@Charles being all "WE MUST REMAIN ANON!" then within 30 secs showing off his powers to Americans, and... Kevin Bacon. It was probably better than X3 though, because that was a turd of a threequel that ruined my enjoyment of the first two. This was generic, passably entertaining and probably inoffensive if you're a Marvel fan.
 
Mega Shark Versus Giant Octopus.
Didn't see the whole movie but enough of it.
So so bad, yet I couldn't stop watching. Even has Debbie Gibson in it (to any 80's kids out there!).
FX are just terrible but really funny at the same time.

wasnt having ago just some films get pushed under your nose as being better or whatever and dr strangelove is one of those in my book

often gets classed as a must see film.

this is why i said what i said.

I watched Broken Embraces Friday night. Rate it 3.5/5

Its in Spanish with subtitles. I enjoyed the film, watched it because it had Penélope Cruz in it. I really like her. ;):)

No it probably because you're uneducated in the Media Language, Mise-en-scène, Codes and Conventions, Dress codes, Editing, Diegetic and non Diegetic Sound and NVC:p

My missus put this on sfx+1 at about 22:30 missing the first 10 mins, I was reading but from just glancing up I was :O. Looked dire.
