What film did you watch last night?

I've just finished rewatching Band of Brothers on my new television .

Looked and sounded fantastic! However, in the closing comments made by the 101st, that story about talking to his grandson still after however many viewings ruins me.

My grandad landed in normandy during World War II as well on D day and is regarded as a hero, we still have all his medals. Brave men.

Les Miserables.

Stunning film, huge set pieces, amazing perfromances from all cast.. notably Hathaway and Jackman (although I actually liked Crowe too!)

10/10..

I don't really like musicals or emotional films.. but this tore me to bits.
Can't recommend it enough.

Could do without the Borat and HBC bits tho..

Didn't think I'd like it (used to be a big fan of the comics). Thought it was ace.

Event Horizon.

What a mess of a film. It could (and should) have been really good. Where did the £60m budget go to? The special effects were awful and the acting not much better.

I attempted to watch it a few nights ago but switched off after 30 minutes. I don't usually mind musicals but I need some talking to break up the songs.

Visually it was fantastic so maybe I'll try again with the sound turned off

It wasn't really supposed to be a typical horror movie. More like a spoof on the genre in the style of the Evil Dead movies.

I also like it. Only decent film Paul W.S. Anderson has done though. Baffles me how someone can make such a film, then go on to make countless films that have all been garbage. EH was definitely a fluke!

Warrior, really enjoy this movie, second watch and it really is as good as the first time hardy fits some roles very well..... Bronson is a boss!
