Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Just rang my favourite buddy elephant and got my insurance transferred and also renewed due to it expiring at the start of june. Quoted that ABI code and went through fine. £350 fully comp with 2ncb. Up from the £260 on my Metal but i can't complain as it's still relatively cheap.

i think I will do it. Elephant quote is decent (sadly London) for £500 with the 215 upgrade. Without is £440 currently. 29, 3yrs NCB, no claims etc.

It's all moving fast. After it arrived into the dealer network today, it's all been registered etc, and I can pick it up on the weekend. So excited!

I got an iPod touch (so i can keep it just for the car), boot liner, some rear seat covers for transporting dirty stuff and may order some Osram Unlimiteds if I am not keen on the OEM bulbs.

Also need to buy some cleaning products but I am not going to go overboard. I have a snowfoam lance which I will use.

Made no difference to the policy having the 215 upgrade on it. Much rather it's stated as that than having a modification!

You're lucky! I ordered mine in February and it was picked up as a demo in the system but then given to me. Had a build date 10th April. There was a delay with it coming to the dealership by about 3 weeks so I was finding it hard to contain my excitement. Was annoyed that when it finally came in they forgot to order the mountune for it...

When i ordered i had the mountune and style pack thrown in for free on top of extensive family discount.

I've got it Super Resin Polished and Extra Gloss Protected at the moment and it looks great. Going to rinse and give another EGP coat tonight. I'm tempted to get Ultra Deep Shine and give that a go also.

Is a beautiful colour, has a tinge of blue and loads of flakes in it when the light catches it right. So satisfying to clean coming from white and silver cars. Can't see the flake in this image but peep the shine! Hehe! :p

Definitely need more pics. This will be the first Black ST I have seen (only seen red, "orange" and blue ones so far.

Looks shiny though! :D

Mine desperately needs a clean, a tad difficult when the sun is beating down on my drive / front of house. I will have to get up early on Saturday.

I put a couple of pics in the Show Us Your Motors thread but thought I'd put them in here too! Took my ST to Blyton for the first time on Tuesday, had a great time and the car performed great, a little disappointed in the tyres as no matter how much I fettled with my pressures they were constantly on the limit and definitely the weakest point on the car, hopefully be back in a month or two with some new rubber and better laps

Anyway a couple of pics...

Ah I see, but as part of the fitting process, if I went to Mountune, I presume at least they would register it with Ford that the upgrade is on the car?

Yes, it all gets logged down with Ford whether you go to Mountune in Essex or a Ford dealer to get it fitted. :)

That looks like great fun shauncr91, one thing I didn't do with my MR200 was take it on track. Your car looks great :)

What tyres are you on at the moment?

Had my MP215 kit fitted other day at TC Harrison in Derby! It makes the car so much better !

Still liking the MP215 kit? :D

I'm thinking of getting it done in August some time, maybe sooner. I've got a Mountune intercooler to get fitted as well (bagged one when it was £100 off). What did your dealer say about the induction hose, as it's not a warranty part? I know some dealers don't really mind about certain things, I would probably just remove it if any warranty work needed doing anyway.

I'd be interested to know what tyres you're running too as I'm wanting to do a few track days and am currently on t1r's.

I'm also on t1r's, I like the tyre for day to day but on track they were definitely out of their depth, I'm going to pick up a set of Federal RSR's I think, they are so cheap (£250-280 for 4x in 205/45/16) and great on track :)

What cleaning products do you recommend? I get my PB one on Sunday!

T1R's are poor tyres, get some continental's on there. Perfect for the road, and make do pretty well on track. What pressures did you run? I normally run 30 front 24 rear (Stripped out for on track).

T1R's are pretty bad from my experiences with other cars with them on.

Still, that looks brill fun Shaun, car looks sweet :) Have your front wheels caught your arches a bit?

Looks like my ST is going up for sale and a cheap runaround has been bought, shame as it's been massively maintained and everything has been serviced and fluids changed. Hope someone appreciates how good a car it is when they see my asking price :D lol

Grabbed some quick phone pictures yesterday evening. Not the best but will probably get more with the proper camera soon.

Got two coats of Auto Glym Extra Gloss Protection on now and water just beads off. It's lovely!

bairn, i don't think you can go wrong with using Auto Glym products. Sort of like the benchmark for me. Get a lambs wool mitt and wash with AG Shampoo and Conditioner then do a coat of Super Resin Polish applied with a applicator, then i guess you can Ultra Deep Shine and Extra Gloss Protection. Leave the polishes on until dry, 20 minutes but leave the Extra Gloss Protection on for at least an hour to cure.

I'm going to take the wheels off this weekend and use Alloy Wheel Seal and Polish to make sure the brake dust doesn't ruin the lovely Rado grey! :p

I didn't want to be anal about this car but i feel i'm going to be the worst I've ever been with a car. I need to get some different kernow stickers today and the ones i got through the post are too small...

Also, I really like how the ST logos are not red. Did it come like that? If so I hope mines does too. Must have been a recent change as all the PBs I saw have a red ST logo

No, that's a DMB graphics overlay.

I have black Ford logos all around with black ST overlays too.

Get em quick as they're ceasing production in June. May get a spare set just in case!
