Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

that's great to hear mate!

the Americans got a touch screen display and bigger screen but they got 5 doors as we got the 3 doors and LED day running lights :D

i agree the only thing missing is Xenons, would have been the icing on the cake imo

how are you liking the symposer? (noise in the cabin)

cant wait to get mine now!

Noise is really cool, but I hope it is not over the top when I hit the motorway!

Yes agree on above, the brackets on the seat do feel a bit flimsy.

Logsi - were all your panels ok and perfectly aligned? Did you have any issues with the rear bumper aligning to any of the rear wings? It looks to be the little plastic things in the wheel well that are causing it

Yeah, they seem all fine to me but will take a better look. Can't say anything stuck out while I was cleaning it though.

Just got it checked and they agreed the rear bumper isn't mounted properly, and was bias to the driver side by few mm. They are going to change the brackets and reinstall it, but may have to wait until next week to sort it.

The bodyshop guy said they get a few cars daily across the range to sort this, so looks like the QC isn't that great in factory!

Other than that, loving the car. I haven't really ragged it yet, haven't went over 4k but so far impressed with it. I'll get the 215 upgrade in September, and going to do a full wash of the car this Friday.

Went on the Mountune HowFast today at Bedford in my MK7. My first outing on track in my ST2 MP215 and boy what a surprise. On the road I've always felt the car was nervous but I totally take that back. Car is perfect on track, and on my first go i got within half a second of my best time I'm my MR200 MK6 which had a LSD, b12 suspension, stripped out and bigger brakes... Amazing car.

On the day I came 4th behind two focus RS375's and Scott wheeler in the demo car for the MP215 with the big brake upgrade. Well pleased.

They really are a step up from the MK6 :)

How are you finding the 215 kit? Gives the car that little bit extra kick? I've got an intercooler and that to go on in a few months, should keep me happy for a bit ;)

I've been keeping an eye on the US tuning forums, bigger turbo, intercooler and downpipe are seeing 300bhp :o

Will be interesting to see what the future brings with further testing and the MR kit from Mountune. :D

That's good to hear! I find the back end a little nervous at speed and wondered whether to get some Eibachs fitted.

My mountune is being fitted on the 4th. Total farce with the dealer, especially when it was supposed to be ordered and fitted on handover...

You guys reckon there will be a MP230 and then a MR240-50?

I reckon they'll probably do one more MP kit which'll consist of intercooler and exhaust, then MR package after that with uprated turbo (Which they've already pretty much confirmed on Facebook).

There won't be another MP kit they've said. MR only. No idea what level it will be, Ive got 250 in my head but who knows.

Theres an exhaust due (which will probably be warranty friendly as well), possibly an alternative to the panel filter and they've mentioned a turbo. Seems theres plenty in the pipeline, only downside is Mountunes timeframes can be looooong. ;) But at least they get it right.

the MR kit will be hard boost pipes and Intercooler (currently for sale), as well as an exhaust. Probably looking at 230-240PS.

@ Killer UK, the MP215 kit is great fun, worth every penny of that £600ish. Intercooler was on my near to do shopping list, however i run today with my ScangaugeII connected and the induction temps never went high enough to warrant the upgrade IMO, but then it was a cool 14c up at Bedford, so will see on the hotter days.

Now the choice for me. I keep telling myself im not going to abuse this car like i did my old one, but today was great fun. Considering i did 10 track days in 2012, i only did 2 in 2013 and the last one was on the 25th of may, so over a year since my last. Do i sell up my old ST and put some more track stuff on this, or do i fix the old one up and track it, to save the ST2 from the abuse. hmmm...

Mountune stage2? no, MR is Mountune Racing, and not covered by Ford warranty. The intercooler itself is though.

Ah I see, thanks!

I have some small polish marks on the plastic trim, what is the best way to remove this? I have tried using a bit of Fast Glass which seems to have got ridden of most. Some people suggest an eraser; won't this leave marks?

On another note, I haven't properly tried out the car yet (i.e. flat out acceleration etc), so hopefully soon I will have the guts to do it!

Asked this on STOC but had no reply so far.

Due to either the offset on my 15, or the 300mm upgrade, the surface of the caliper catches the inside rim of my alloys. I have tried some 5mm "shims" but this doesn't provide enough clearance so I'm looking at hubcentric spacers. How do they work? I know they come with extended bolts so I'm assuming they replace the existing hub bolts which then screws into the spacer with the alloy then going on top.

Was wanting to buy new wheel nuts so would I need to be a certain size if I had spacers fitted?

Didn't you buy them off Andy? If so I'm sure he had the 300mm upgrade with those wheels, I'll send him a FB message and ask how he got them to fit if you want? I know he had to file the corners of the calipers down slightly...

Do a track day in your MR200 first before you decide

Yeah got Andy's old ones. Andy filed them down on the day I bought them as they were touching the inside rim. When he left you could fit a debit card in the gap between the caliper and alloy and you still can. I have since used an electric drill with an attachment to file them down even more. However before I painted the calipers yesterday you could see friction marks on the caliper where it had been rubbing. Upon painting them yesterday I gave the wheel on quick spin whilst in the air and upon taking them off I had fresh marks on the paint.

I'll take the wheels off when I get home and take some photos.

You can do if you want it'd be appreciated. I do have his mobile number from buying them too.
