Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

are you kidding? lol, ive done about 20 :) :p

MR200 vs MP215 my MR200 won by 0.5seconds at Howfast, but that's mad considering uprated everything vs a standard MP215

Daft sod

I know that

I meant as a refresher to compare like for like.

I travel along A50, A500 and through Newcastle every day and get avg 42mpg.

Average anywhere between 35 and 45mpg for us (mixture of driving).

Town driving will see low MPG but pretty much any non hybrid / electric car will do poorly in this sort of scenario.

Thanks.... I've got the all clear from the Mrs :D

Will contact G2L tomorrow, no idea what colour to go for though.. blue, black and white are my favourites.

I'll be adding the style pack too.

Could do with a long lead time as it will give me chance to get the Fiat 500 sold.

I think they are saying mid August now at g2l

I liked the white but a. It costs more and b. there are too many white zetec s models on the road which from far look similar to the st.

It's all about spirit blue :)

Blue, get Blue. Or Red, no Blue, Black? No get Blue.

(Mine is Blue). :D

Is spirit blue exclusive to the ST then?

Saw a black one today but didn't think it showed the lines and stuck on bits off too well. Blue it is!

Mid August would be perfect!

Struggling to price the 500, hardly any in the country for sale privately with same spec and mileage. Will have a good look today.

Had a quote through, seems they are adding £377 over the term for the Style Pack. I've tried to haggle this down to £275 as an upfront payment.

Just get a ST-2 which includes the style pack :)

Oh and Spirit Blue is where its at :)

Ahh I see. Had a reply back now anyway, rather than spread the cost of the styling pack over the monthly payments (where they also added £102 to the cost of the pack), I can pay the £275 upfront.

Had contact from the Garage fitting our Mountune kit and it is going in this Saturday! :D

We thought it would be a 2-3 week wait (actually told this initially) so now we are quite excited. :)

Roll on Saturday.

Half way there....

Airbox fitted but the system required to load the Mountune software was unavailable due to the internet being down. Apparently it is all on-line (W T F?!) thus loading the map was not possible.

Obviously we are a little disappointed but luckily only have to wait until Thursday to get the map installed.

To my understanding all Mountune packs have encryption on them (At least on the mk6) so it's hard to copy/edit them, probably have a similarly secure system for installing a map file.

:D (Excuse the picture: dirt + garage + spot light + camera flash = crap picture).

First impressions are very good. We have both noticed the increased pull in 3rd and upwards (especially 6th). This is coming from driving the stock car for over 14.5K miles thus the improvement is possibly more noticable to us than say getting the upgrade a few hundred miles in. Traction and overall stability seems completely unaffected.

Roll on the weekend where we can driver her some more (and clean her). :)

Meant to be getting my Fiesta ST3 on Monday

just had a call from the lease comany (G2L) and they have told me during PDI they found the battery light was on and it needed to go back to the dealership? thought the PDI was done at the dealership?

anyway, this will now add a few days on now, hopefully it will be a change of battery only and any other issue!

a great start!

That white one looks very nice, climate is a big bonus too because I've only seen a handful of cars with it!

Things to look out for:
- Stiff gears when warm. This is a very small issue but can feel worse than it is, it's simply a 20 minute job to replace a small job on the gear linkage.
- Black PAS fluid. The worst problem with these cars and I can pretty much guarantee that every car you look at will have it, you should listen carefully to the PAS pump making any odd sounds as the boiled fluid can ruin it. Budget ~£100 for a decent PAS cooler such as the SiCo kit (Or the Mountune one if you're only using it on the street), Ford should've fitted one from the factory.
- Starting problems. Unlikely to affect a later production car but it can happen, there is a Ford ECU update which fixes this and will probably cost you Around £25 for the privilege
