Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Do a track day in your MR200 first before you decide

are you kidding? lol, ive done about 20 :) :p

MR200 vs MP215 my MR200 won by 0.5seconds at Howfast, but that's mad considering uprated everything vs a standard MP215

Trying to sell my ST now, best offer I've had is £4550 (from a Trader!), 58 plate, 53k, will have full MOT, FSH, very well maintained, some mods, pretty much a mint car really. Got it advertised for £4895 but not been having many bites, crap second hand market on the old ST's.

Worth holding out a bit longer for a private sale or just go with it?

Take the traders offer, it's very reasonable.

Agreed, especially as a private sale will always knock a few £100 off anyway.

My ST is still going strong and I still grin from ear to ear when I drive it.

Up to just shy of 14,000 miles now and will be looking at a new set of tyres for the front. I will probably just stick with the same tyres again as honestly I havn't had any issues with them.

Needs another clean though. :o I keep meaning to do it but find myself driving instead.... :p

Really enjoying the car now, now it's covered 500 miles I am a bit more heavier on the throttle and it's brilliant fun.

Still not 100% sure about getting the upgrade I must admit, I don't feel like I need it to be honest!

Well after 14,000 miles the little ST is finally being treated to the MP215 upgrade. :D

Should be fitted in around 3 weeks or so (ordering parts and scheduling the fitting). Can't wait now!

Getting it done for £649 including fitting which seems about right (£599 RRP + fitting). Certainly cheaper than the £850 I was quoted before anyway.

This will of course be followed up with a trip to Wales (Brecons and Snowdonia) in September for our wedding anniversary (7 years already ). This should highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the upgrade.

My MK6 ST goes in the morning, got a bit more money than mentioned above but these things are worthless now, nevermind, onwards and upwards after a little break from hot hatches :)

Just don't expect too much. :)

The Mountune shows it's strengths in 4th gear as it's limited in 1st and 2nd. Does open up on the top end and the higher gears are much better. I was expecting too much I think though as everyone made it out to be a night and day difference.

I am not expecting huge gains just a little more 'pep'. This will hopefully be the stepping stone for a MR230/240/250 kit in the future.

Sounds like you got good money to be honest, especially as the mods make it less desirable to the masses.

They're only ever going to go down in price now the new one has been out a while surely?

Of course.

I did quite well with it though, I paid £4430 for it a year and 12000 miles ago with loads of spares and standard bits which I sold for around £800 in the end and sold it for £4570 yesterday. Will be on a popular hot hatch dealers site very soon. Excluding insurance and petrol it cost me around £400 to own for a year.

I've still got a few spares to flog so hopefully another 120 quid in my pocket when they've gone.

How are the new ST's on fuel? Mrs will be driving it in the day and I'll get it at the weekends. She is mainly town driving at rush hour so but need it to be fairly reasonable to convince her to sell her Fiat 500 :)

Average anywhere between 35 and 45mpg for us (mixture of driving).

Town driving will see low MPG but pretty much any non hybrid / electric car will do poorly in this sort of scenario.

I'm going to sell my Mountune Induction hose in yellow just because I want a blue one.
