Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

He wants to down the line. I've only driven standard ones but only shortish drives I guess, so be good when he lets me have a reasonable drive of this. I'd like to try an MP215 at the very least. There's so many cars I want haha.

Having a super crap day, aside from dropping my iPhone 6 onto concrete as I got out the car at McDonald's. As I get back in the car I drop my tea all over my bloody seats and it appears to have stained.

All because the drive thru was closed!

What's the best way to get this out??? It was tea btw. Right on the grey cloth material inbetween the leather.

Thanks. I'll pop to asda after work.

I do have some car upholstery cleaner in the boot from my last car with a scrubber pad on the can but think it's a bit naff tbh and will probably just make it worse.

Test drive didn't happen. Got a phone call 5mis before I was supposed to be at the dealer to say the car was unavailable as it was in the workshop. Was parking near the dealer when they phoned.

Waiting to hear back from them, I'll start ringing round other dealers tomorrow to see if I can get a test drive elsewhere.

Haven't posted in here in a while, so thought I'd post an update.

I've had the MR230 kit fitted for around 1,000 miles now. While it may appear to an expensive option to some for the headline power figure, I've always trusted Mountune stuff for being an all round solid day to day driving experience which is reliable and this map is no different.

I had the MP215 kit fitted previously, and while an improvement was noticed, it wasn't a massive jump (as to be expected from the increases) and just built slightly on the already good performance.

The MR230 update is entirely different. The torque limits in 1st and 2nd have been lowered and the acceleration is savage. Third gear upwards is excellent, the torque all through the power band has been increased and where the stock car and the MP215 upgrade started feeling a bit flat after 4.5-5k, this doesn't, it pulls all the way to the limiter. In the high gears, you can get into stupid speeds VERY easily if you're not careful. The exhaust has a deeper tone thanks to the sports cat and the cam timing adjustment.

One thing I would HIGHLY recommend (IMO its a must), is the MT roll restrictor or similar if you're going for a Stage 2 map like this. You'll probably need to save a bit for new tyres sooner as well :D:p

Potentially daft question, a standard ST is 180bhp but with 15 seconds overboost to give 200bhp (hopefully correct so far :p), the basic Mountune kit claims a headline 215bhp but does it still have some sort of overboost above that or is it just a straight 215bhp? Or is the 215bhp the overboost figure with the car regularly at 200bhp or something?

The overboost is 215bhp. Not sure what the regular output is. Torque goes up to 320NM ( from 290NM) as well. According to the mountune website it gives it pretty much the same 0-60mph and 30-50mph in gear numbers as a stock Focus ST.

There are very few, if any, opportunities you are going to have on public roads to put your foot down for over 15 seconds in one go in one of these without breaking the speed limit so the headline figure is all you need really :p

The MR230 voids the warranty doesnt it?

Might get the MP215 done within the next 6 months i reckon :).

Indeed, not many places you'll be at full chat for that long! Just wanted to clear up my confusion as the Mountune site didn't make mention of overboost, or at least not that I noticed, their mobile site is awful so I didn't look for long.

After driving a VW caddy van for the last 2 weeks (work van), I finally took my ST out for a short drive. Couldn't blast it but missed it :D

Won't be much better when I get my actual work van from the repair shop (Fiesta van).

Feels so good to get behind the wheel of the ST doesn't it after a break away from it.

I miss driving it as soon as I lock it and walk away from it :(

I went in another direction. Constant stock issues and delays with Mountune meant i bought a 2nd hand sports cat and a Peron Stage2 map which gives me about 235bhp. Being a Mountune Fanboy since 2011 made it a hard choice, but it was best at the time. Its amazing either way! Need a LSD now :)

Well, mine is now built and in the Flushing compound...fingers crossed won't be too long from here!

Also - anyone know what cruise control appears as on the Ford Etis system?

Very tempted by the MR230 kit but I've got 34 months of Ford warranty left and with the car being on finance I think the MP215 is the more sensible option. I know I won't be able to resist a Focus RS at the end of my finance deal, it may even happen before then!

I would like the MR230 kit as well but i bought the Ford extended warranty (to 5 years) so have over 4 years left which i am not willing to give up to be honest.

I plan to keep it for the full 5 years as well then sell it on so the MP215 will have to do.

Guys not sure if allowed but what would you say would be a fair price for a 57 plate ST, 2 owners, 85k, generally good cond all round, not mint but not hard to get there! MP165 fitted, Eibach springs. Couple of bits bad are rear bumper grill missing above valence, a jacking point cover, scratch on front bumper, pin dent from trolley. Otherwise sound, mechanically bang on, FFSH... What do we think it's worth?
