Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Well fitted new discs all around. Ended up going with Pagid discs and pads which came in around £200.

Fitted my new white splitter which i like, especially at the fact i am only person in world at the moment with this white splitter. :p

Painted front calipers red.

Few of my other things may go on over week or may just wait till insurance renewal next month.

Only problem i have now is air in my brake system after not being able to find a G-clamp so i loosend the the front caliper nipples to push the piston back in. Just reading up to see how easy it is to flush the whole system your self.

With an EZ bleed kit is extreamly straight forward. Also using some ATE Super Blue Brake Fluid helps a lot as it is blue in colour so you know exactly when you've got the old fluid flushed out. It also has a higher boiling point which should rule out the changes of cooking it. For £13 a litre from euro car parts I use it whenever I'm flushing a system.

Would 16's look ok on the b12 kit? Hmmmm

It looks a little high...when I got 16s I had the B12 kit but then decided to get coilovers. Its not way too high....you may think it looks okay and decided its fine. The ride with 16s and 45 profile tyres on B12s was amazing as well :D

Alright mate, could you please link me to both items,

Can't seem to find the EZ kit, just loads of other kits. I have found ATE brake fluid on ECP, but not sure if it the one you are talking about.

Thanks

Could just take into into ford and get it done with the Service but im loving doing it all my self and learning. Need to learn these days we all dodgy mechanics about.

Just a few pics to add to the thread... Pics with new splitter, some love it, some hate it. Me personally, i love it :D

Ignore front garden, not had time for it :p . Also the car is proper filthy but you can't really tell from the photos.

I've got the MK6 Fiesta as well (not the ST model though) and I really like that splitter. However as has been said it does suit the car but gives the impression you've simply not bothered to paint it as it's still white! Or do you plan on painting it at a later date?

Also, why are the rear wheels chalked in place? Bad hand brake? Just leave it in reverse dude :p

Your paint job on the calipers look good though, fit in well with the rest of the car and really suit, need to wash the wheels though, and yes I know how much of a PIA they are to clean :p

That is because of the useless camera on my Galaxy S. The splitter is actually gloss white and a perfect match with the stripes when they are clean.

Pictures don't do it any justice.

Also will make a great snow plough over crimbo :D

Leave it in reverse? Its a front wheel drive car facing forwards downhill? Or am i missing something here lol?

Don't like the splitter I'm afraid! Pondered one briefly for my car then decided against, I think they look a bit ott given the rest of the car. A big sticky out splitter works on an Evo, mk1 focus rs or an escort cosworth but the fiesta st as a whole isn't aggressively styled for it not to look out of place and a bit excessive.

Not a fan of the red/white combo either....black wheels and black side stripes would look way smarter and still allow you to be a bit different...!

I agree the car looked fantastic when i took the stripes off. I am a odd one though, i hated seeing the same car everywhere ( have 2 other red ST's within 300 yards of my house). So fancied having a go at making it look my own with out looking like a chav. Though i feel it is slightly going a bit to boy racer, seen as every chavved up saxo/clio/106 tries racing me.

We'll see how things turn out. Have plenty of other stuff here i am unsure about putting onto it.

I love black on red, so maybe on the future plans if i decide on keeping the car.

Will you got any pics with that set up?

Not got any I'm afraid, I got the coilovers fitted that quickly!

Here is a Zetec S (16 inch wheels) with a B12 kit fitted though...

It looks 'okay' but going just that little bit lower when you have 16 inch wheels does look better in my view :)

I have the predecessor to that unit - the KW-AVX830. If you must have a face off unit, stick with the JVC, otherwise I suggest you get an Alpine or Pioneer as the interfaces are just better with those units as opposed to the JVC which is a bit clunky and slow in operation if mine is anything to go by! I would recommend you find somewhere that has an 840 in stock and have a go with it, including the iPod control - my unit is very slow, though I'd have hoped this would have been improved for the newer model you are looking at.

As to what you will need, assuming you have a facelift ST and you want the stalk control to work you will need the following:

1) Connects2 CTSFO002 - Quadlock to ISO harness with stalk control (Ford)

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/con...apter-for-ford-fiesta-mondeo-focus-c-max.html

2) Connects2 CTJVCLEAD2 - Stalk control patch lead for JVC head unit

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/con-ctjvclead2-connects2-ctjvclead2.html

3) Radio aerial adapter (ISO to DIN)

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/con-ct27aa01-ct27aa01-aerialantenna-iso-to-din-adaptor.html

As to which double din facia - I have tried them all (a luxury of previously working at Halfords and asking to try out a few to see which fit best) and none of them I tried fitted very well to be honest! I think I ended up using a Connects2 facia like the one you have linked to, but as well as clipping it in I also used tigerseal to help keep it in place and stop it rattling (the latter was only marginally succesful). Hope this helps :)

Rybo, as for your insurance - tried Bell/Admiral? They were always cheap for me (until I went to greenlight) though they will only insure a certain number of mods - up to 6 different modifications I believe.

I might keep my standards on and spray them rover grey, or get some cheap 1.2's. I know I am getting rid of it in march but I have the modding bug again. My mate has the 185 kit for sale for 1k so I'm going to snap that up. All I need now is the 300mm brake upgrade but I don't know where to start looking. Any help would be great

Someone over on fordfiestast has a full Brembo kit ready to bolt on for £300

Will- Tried admiral and come back at £2400ish and bell was near same. Think my insurance is up for renewal around 15th of next month , hopefully Sky insurance come back with a good price.
