Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

looks like a nice well looked after ST. Whats the overall plan with her? Lowering is a good start, i waited 3 years before i lowered mine, bad move, its so much better once lowered.

It is in great condition, a few minor scratches and stone chips due to its age but nothing dramatic. It's only done just over 18,000 miles.

To be honest I had no plans to modify it, mainly due to me not knowing what I'm doing (therefore having to pay someone to do it for me) and the added insurance costs. But now I'm kinda thinking it might be a good idea... :p

18k!!!! thats a baby! I wish mine was that low! lol

Ive saved a fair few quid fitting my own parts, but then ended up getting Mountune 185 then 200 so the money savings went out the window. Oh well.

I know it's barely run in!

Thinking that a K&N 57i and lowering it a bit wouldn't cost THAT much... :o

K&N free's up some horses quiet well, and you can get lowering springs second hand for about £60, its just about waiting for the right moment.

Aye I've been looking and thinking about it the last few days! It's just about finding someone who can do it for me without charging me the earth! I could probably manage the K&N but not the springs!

Springs on that millage shouldn't be too hard as your top mounts hopefully won't be rusted.

Rears take an hour max, the fronts can take an hour on each corner.

i am lookin into this car as my next one. i have feel in love with the focus but i am unable to afford them so going for the smaller one. how is the space in these cars as i do have a six year old to look after also :p

Had a bit of a flat tyre today :(

Went to Morrisons (nearest place) to get some air in it and found the valve was knackered! So went to my local garage who replaced it. Think it's got a small leak somewhere though :(

Now I've got to figure out how to stick the hub cap thing back on as for some reason it wont stay in place! Might squirt a bit of silicone on it or something! There is some residue behind there, so think that's what the previous owner has done anyway. Helps stop them getting stolen too I guess!

It's ok, boot isn't massive but I have 2 kids (10 year old and 14month old) and I've coped for the last 3 years with it.

Lack of rear doors isn't a massive issue and we've been on trips to Wales with the car fully laden.

if you need more storage space get a roof box ;)

Ok so it looks like I'm going to need (maybe not NEED but you know) a new tyre, so questions!

The 2 rears I've got are currently mixed and of unknown age. The tread of the non-leaking one is reasonable so its probably not that old, but it's a "Event WL905" which is **** to say the least. The leaky one is a "Nankang NS2" which is almost as **** and it's getting a bit warn now anyway (3mm).

The 2 I've got on the front are brand new but they were put on the car by the company I bought it from so didn't get to pick which ones I got... they are Tracmax Radial F106's which are really bad!

Soooo! Do I get 2 decent ones on the back... or just say what the hell and get 4 decent ones?

What's a decent tyre to get? And where from?

I've read some reviews and people seem to recommend Toyo Proxes T1-R, Yokohama Parada Spec 2, Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3... any good?

Currently thinking the Yokohama's look pretty good being great in the dry, ok in the wet but also reasonable in snow. Plus they are cheap which helps! (£300 fitted for 4) And look funky too, not that it matters!

Just get a brand new set of CS3's all around. Bite the bullet and press the buy button and don't think back!

It'll transform the car.

I had T1-Rs before, they were very grippy i found but wore quick.

Can't seem to find them apart from in a few places where they very from £125-£150 each. Not paying that much :p

CS3 are good but I am replacing mine after just 2 n half months lol (4k miles).

Back ones are fine but the fronts are ruined :D

Yeah replaced them today lol. Think I have been a bit to spirited in my vxr :D

It needs to go as it is costing me a fortune.

6 csc3 tyres
4 brake disks and pads
Recirculation valve
Lambda sensor position 2
Gearbox rebuild
Few other little niggles

All in 3 months.

Rather spend the money on something I actually want :)

camskill is like £115 i believe?

Nice once, must have missed them, their website is shocking!

They are only the V ones though, forget what speed that's good for, they ok? All my current tyres are W.

Are they really the best for the car? What about F1's as everyone seems to rave about them?

Fitted some 3mm spacers to the front wheels today to make them sit a bit further out.

Looks good but have a feeling the wheels may now rub on the arches so will see how it goes.

Took my plastics off today so they could be sprayed gloss black. Mate of mine doing them for £35. Got a strut brace on order and will be getting my 12.5mm rear axle spacers fitted in a few weeks time. Then I can concentrate on getting my milltek cat back. Tempted to get a 4:1 manifold too.
