I purchased TLOU 2 the other day with the app while at work, thinking it would be downloaded by the time I got home but when I got home and turned it on the download started. I don't leave the PS5 in rest mode though as I don't like the orange light being on.

Needs to be in rest mode, or will not download until the console is turned on.

I expect they'll drop again and settle the price at a lower RRP. It's about time.

It was a great idea of Microsoft/Xbox to have these plug and play cards ready at launch especially when Sony had no alternative (IE internal SSD port disabled) but they've been price gouging for too long, should have allowed alternative suppliers after the first year and competition should have reduced the prices to more respectable levels.
 
Aaagh, I wonder if I've made a boob. I just converted Microsoft Rewards points into Xbox credit so that I could buy the new Fall Guys season pass (for free, in effect) but of course, I have no Xbox to play it on now. I thought with cross-play being enabled that the purchase would propagate across all platforms (playing on PC) but it seems I need to launch the Xbox version first. Bloody hell.

EDIT: Microsoft gave me a refund so back in business.

Anyone else experiencing xbox reward point quests/cards/xbox game pass quest app rewards not available ? Bing still works but the android app and xbox daily/weekly rewards that were there usually are gone..

Yup the whole thing has been up the swanny for about a month now. I can see one set of quests when connected to home wifi and another set when on cellular. I lost an 850 day streak because of website issues. I just accept it for what it is (a broken mess) and just do what I can.
 
Does anyone know if Call of Duty World at War still has people playing it? It was my favourite CoD game, and I'm tempted to rebuy it, but it'll only make sense if people play it online still.
 
Just seen my first non-gamepass game available for cloud gaming. I picked up Railway Empire 2 for cheap and then when I went to install it I saw that it had both the standard download symbol as well as the cloud gaming symbol with the ability to play it from the cloud with gamepass ultimate... It seems that new games may start to become avialble for cloud play if you own them even if they're not on gamepass itself... hopefully this is the start of the release of all games via cloud play if you own them.

Uhm, it got added to Game Pass this week. :D
 
Coming in 2025 no doubt. They really need to hit some hard dates at the showcase next week and none of this coming autumn 2023 which is inevitably delayed trash that they’ve done for the last few years.

Right now it’s showing 55.48 down and 83.20 up!! In reality it’s connecting at 55 but I’m only getting 10-20 during downloads and that’s with no running games/apps.

In the time it’s taken to type the above I ran the test again and it’s showing 12.24 down and 39.97 up.

Seriously MS have broken the networking on this console. Every other device in the house is solid so I genuinely believe this is a forced situation by MS for whatever reason.

Maybe cost cutting on server bandwidth or something.

EDIT: Following a console restart the download speeds improve briefly. Maybe a few mins at 200Mbps then it’s like the throttling kicks in and I’m straight back down to 10Mbps. Sometimes as low as 1-2 Mbps.

Suggests MS services are over subscribed or under resourced if they are having to throttle downloads in this way.

Downloaded Diablo 4 at 890mbps last night.

My download speeds are always in excess of 500mbps.

I suggest it's not the xbox
