*** Zelda: Breath of the Wild ***

Still on 3 hearts, found a horse early on, then let it go, now got another.

I love and hate horse riding, love how kinda real it is, you can't really control it...like real life. but hate that you can't really control it!

Make sure to soothe them every time they do their own thing

So has the framerate been fixed?

Any Wii U players? If so, how does it play on that? Are the graphics the best on the machine? Framerate problems resolved yet?

I meant to type glider, not kite, love the glider. Take a while to get used to using it properly. As for horse, I found it just right the way it is. Anyone defeated the:
stone guy? Took me while, died many times. Killed one, but the second one was harder as the placement of his weakness was in a more awkward place. Could have used my 5 bomb arrows, but did not want to waste them so left it alone.

Doubt they fixed it from the time I went to bed until now, will let you know when I fire it up shortly while playing in bed. Still not taken it with me to the toilet yet, looking forward to that :D

To be honest the frame dips are not to bad as they not frequent. Also they only happen when playing on the TV which is 900p, where as in portable mode game is 720p and runs with no dips ever in fps.

I knew I loved this game, when I thought of chopping down a tree to get across a chasm, pure class:)

Is stuff like this classed as a spoiler? Just wondering, as I am replying to it.

Yeah, it felt so satisfying doing that, but I never used the axe, did not even know at that moment you could use it to do that. I used a well placed bomb to do it and it was a great feeling when it worked.

This game is so rewarding like that :D

It's all about the shield surfing

There are loads of little touches to this game that make you think 'ah that's a nice touch' as you play along. One thing that irks me a tad is the very slight delay on jumping, has gotten me killed a couple of times whilst i'm getting used to it.

Some games just make you want to pick up and play, Zelda is one of those games.

Wii U user here,what a game,from my 6 year old granddaughter,to 62 year old me,and everyone inbetween,we all love it.
Nintendo sure know how to make a great game, and when the new Mario game surfaces my wife will be buying a Switch as soon as.

I think I'll pickup a second hand Wii u for this at some point. Anything to look for when buying, never tried it or even seen one before :D

Loving it so far, it feels like a totally different Zelda but with the charm and small touches you'd expect. Some frame rate drops (Switch) but nothing that impacts the experience. Biggest issue for me has been the left joy-con losing connectivity, only happened twice (in about 4 hours) but not great when I'm only sat 2m from the console. I can't see it being fixed so might end up buying a Pro Controller.

I was going to see how it plays on the Wii U, as I already have one gathering dust :) will be buying the Switch later in the year no doubt, starting to sound expensive for essentially a handheld, which is what I will use it as. Thanks!

Literally the best game I've played a long time. I'm even taking a Saturday night off the beers to stay in and play it. Lol. :p

I have to agree! It's so flipping wonderful to play. The setting, the exploration, the shrine challenges, the customisation/choice of clothing/weapons, the cooking.... it goes on.

I went hell for leather through the story and have paused the story line. It's not fun trying dungeons with 4 hearts!

Now spending time building myself up and finding goodies
