I found the same deal. My EK X shipped from Italy(??) for delivery on Monday. I though it was the start of a price drop for the TI's but most seem to have gone back up.

Its being going up and down like a yoyo. One day its £799 and a few days later it'll be £80 or so cheaper. Then back up again. Got mine for £686 in the end.

If its same place, the FE card is a massive drop. Crazy stuff and thinking of getting one to just sell it on. Was curious to see if it would even be honoured, but seems so if other GPU's have been dispatched!

Basically configured for a given noise output the strix was over 10c cooler than the ftw3 which is crazy. I think the amp extreme must be close (not tested) but that is 10% longer and triple slot.

Yup, just caved considering some of the stonking good deals about! Was going to wait till Vega but that looks like it will be a disappointment, then i was going to wait till Volta but couldn't pass up one deal i saw.

Now i need to make sure my gf doesn't find out... :eek:

Still might change my mind as i don't really need it..

Zotac AMP Edition.

Gets very hot (peaked at 84c during Timespy). Boosts to around 1960 out of the box.
Will look into custom power and fan profiles since 84c seems a bit too hot really.
Great looking card though, pretty happy overall.

Yes I would say that is hot even for a stock fan profile. Worth investigating.

The strix is on par with the Msi GX from experience although it's a few degrees cooler at the same noise output.

The zotac amp is the quietest having owned one as well as the aorus, strix and gaming x. The heat sink alone is around 1inch thick.

The only thing I didn't like about the zotac was it's lack of cooling for the vrm components.

That's normal, you're feeding the gfx card warm air from the AiO intake.

According to gamers nexus even the amp extreme is a bit meh because of the heat it can produce despite having a 3 slot cooler.

Very dissapointed by the zotac after this review, i've been on the fence about buying this card for ages, i'd go ftw3 now or strix

It seems like they've went for low acoustics rather than low temps according to that, which is a bit odd considering the size of the heat-sink, could probably crank the fans up a bit more and achieve the best of both.

People buy Zotac cards for the 5 year warranty which isn't even transferrable to the second owner.
I don't get it.
In 5 years time this card will be no better than 1050 today.

My EVGA FE was hitting 80-odd degrees and even now it's on a custom loop it's hitting low 50s during heavy gaming sessions. My coolant temperature levels out around 38-40C which is normal.

These cards just run hot. I wouldn't want to run one on air.

Tempted to order a EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC Black Edition GAMING, I wish that I could afford to order it from here but even the option of a Haribo or two doesn't make up for the savings I'll make. Sadly too expensive here.

Tell me about it, i seen my titan x top 67c on an AIO yesterday during a game of bf1 at 4k. Might have to investigate the thermal compound. :eek:
