2 DIMM boards have better memory stability and would probably be a cost saving for manufacturers so why are all ATX boards 4 DIMM when most users will only ever use 2?.
Happy Weekend All!
I currently run on a 500GB SSD with a 1TB HDD. I think (but am not sure) I am doing the right thing by having my games installed on the SSD rather than the HDD. The issue now (the system is from 2018) is that many of the games I play are >100GB and as such I can't have many...
Hi,
I recently purchased a new desktop(https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/desktops/legion-desktops/legion-t-series-towers/legion-tower-7i-gen-8-(34l-intel)/90v7003jus?orgRef=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.google.com%252F) and trying to figure out memory speeds. ran aida64 and the first results were around...
I recently added 4 GB DDR-2 to a motherboard, the modules are 4 boards, 1 GB each, and all four boards are exactly the same brand and frequency. But the problem is that on the POST SCREEN it shows that the total RAM memory is 2.5 GB, but in the BIOS it shows that the total RAM memory is 4 GB...
Hello everyone,
i am new to the world of overclocking and was wondering if it is possible to push my CMH32GX4M2D3600C18 sticks any further even if it is just tightening the timings of XMP if that is even possible?
my rating for xmp is 18-22-22-42 for 3,600myhz at 1.35v
ive been playing around...
Would i be right in saying or thinking that there wouldn't/won't be issues with 64GB (2x32gb) 5200MHz DDR5 kit (XMP enabled) as regards to posting or speeds etc with Asus ROG Z690 Maximus Hero board? I don't like the idea of the 32GB (2x16gb) kit cause i'm going to be using my system for a lot...
Hi,
I have a Razer Blade 15 (2018). This laptop comes standard with 16Gb DDR4 SODIMM 2667Mhz RAM (2x 8Gb).
As it can be extended to 64Gb I’d like to do this within the next few weeks.
My question is, I’d like to go for RAM that is 3200Mhz rather than 2667Mhz for obvious reasons, how do I know...
This is my first time writing on the forum and I apologise if my question sounds stupid to most of the people here but I am not very good with computers at all which will become obvious as I write further :D I may be useless with computers but I have loved gaming for most of my life and was able...
So, I want to upgrade my whole pc basically. I've had it unchanged for about 6 years and it's showing its age on newer games. (I'm not gonna upgrade the GPU for now, as there is basically no stock). I want to get an i5 12600K and I was think of also getting DDR5 ram.
Is it worth the extra...
Hi there
Managed to muster up some pretty decent memory deals on DDR4 for Black Friday which are active now:
Key deals:
Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16GB (2x8GB) 3600 MHz AMD Ryzen Tuned DDR4 Memory Dual Kit @ £59.99 inc VAT
16GB (2x8GB) Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX Black, PC4-28800...
I’m wanting 32gb of memory for a new build I’m going to do.
I was looking at the Vengence RGB Pro, when blindly just glancing through.
Then I saw both the Balastix RGB with tighter timings and Team Group (but no RGB)
Memory, PSU and Motherboards are the most confusing for me. Can I ask the...
Hi Guys
I am looking for some advice regarding upgrading memory.
I bought a system from overclockers in October 19 and am very happy with the system (I5 9600k running at 4.8ghz).At the time i opted for 16GB of DDR4 2400 ram ( 2x8GB sticks) and am thinking about upgrading.
I seem to have two...
So I started having some very strange problems keyboard keys would give me 4 letters from pressing one, games crashing/jumpy graphics (on xbox controller), etc. So having a look at everything I've noticed my Taichi x570 has just wiped out all my custom timings and settings by defaulting to auto...
Hey guys,
I have an older system which is running great, but as I get into running virtual machines, I find I am running out of memory.
MB: Gigabyte X99-SLI (has 6 ram slots)
Processor: Intel i7-5820K
RAM: Kingston Predator 4x4GB DDR4 2666MHz
QUESTION: Should I ditch the 4x4GB I have and go...

Basically, I've been having issues recently, especially with gaming... i was showing my sensors to a friend and he advised me my RAM numbers were BADDD so I freaked and checked, my TrFC is 900+ atm with duel ram and also single ram on both sticks.... Without XMP its 750+

Hi,
Been wading through mind field of memory info for Ryzen 5000 (havent done a build since 2015)
I'm almost certainly going to get 5900x and Asus Dark Hero mobo (keeping my 1080ti in the current climate)
It seems like the ideal sweet spot price/performance would be 32gb (2x16gb) 3600mhz...
Hello,
I have a Lenovo E585 with AMD RYZEN 5 2500U & RADEON VEGA 8, and the default dedicated VRAM is 256MB. I recorded a log of memory usage in game while lagging, and it showed that only about 5GB of RAM were being used (out of 8GB available).
I used stress-test softwares to see if that was...
Hi,
Just picked up a set of corsair vengence lpx ram sticks at 3200Mhz CL16 with the timings 16-20-20-38 (to my surprise it is the E die model :-( so looking to adjust the timings).
I know you can set the timings differently but just looking for some help on what timings and voltages to set...
