8 Packs 4ghz 32m Challenge win full Haswell 4770K Bundle.

Nightst@lker sorry mate I really cannot make that out, maybe a link like kaapstad did?

Only .38% run 3.7Ghz+
I think they're taking the clock from stock, not overclocked. So a very popular 920 would show 2.66Ghz, 3930k would be 3.2Ghz so on and so forth.

Yes that is exactly what's happening with that chart.
It shows stock clocks.

Here we go, a phenom II pretty much at 4GHz. Properly left for dust by anything intel.

Just ran it on my Phenom II 1055T @ 3.8GHz (Struggling to hit 4GHz on it). Using Corsair Vengence LP 1600MHz (un-tweaked) I got 18m 41.863s.

So if I'm understanding that this is a level playing field that is reliant on tweaking memory, then I could half my time if I got another 200Mhz out of my CPU and learnt to tweak my memory? That seems like quite a big increase. I'll have to "Ask 8 Pack" after the competition finishes!

1 entry and lots of posts moaning, i bet they are glad they decided to give away some free stuff.

Frankly i would just not bother at all if i were ocuk given all the moaning.

Yeah not everyone has the equipment to enter, but when they run competitions that anyone can enter people still don't bother. They run so many competitions that require no effort it doesn't hurt for them to run something like this now and then.

Sure I'll bite.

This is my standard overclock for the time being (Having some cooling issues) will put some time into it later this week, see if I can get it any faster. I've got to agree with some of the previous posts regarding that the prize will be practically useless for people with high end rigs. I mean I'd certainly keep the prize if by some devine miracle I won. Regarding the "shoops" you should ask the winner for a video of the PI test in action. The recording should also contain a small section where the user signs into the forum to prove it's actually them.

Something like that anyway ^^

Ill probably give this a blast tomorrow, iirc my best time with the cpu at 4.5ghz is 7m 24s, that was with the ram at 2133mhz, 9-10-10-22.

Okay here is my first try on Socket 1156 and a very respectable time of 9m 35.990s

Sorry NightSt@lk3r I beat you by 1 second :P
