US: American Gods - Starts May 1st Amazon / Starz (Wheres the post?)

Seemed fairly obvious to me with the intermittent reveals of the old gods reaching the US shores, etc. some of it took a bit of figuring out sure and I didn't immediately comprehend the new gods aspect fully until about episode 5.

Granted I'm somewhat familiar with the spiritual aspects underpinning it from other stories/philosophy which made making sense of it a bit easier.

Helps a lot that the dialogue is sharp - keeps it moving along where it would otherwise fall flat on its face.

Just started this last night, first two episodes - enjoyed it a lot :)

Recognised Shadow - had to imdb to see where from....Hollyoaks :o

Recognised the Leprechaun - must have been from the film 13 Hours : Soldiers of bengahzi

Have to admit I found Dead Wife the Leprechaun and Salim? in the taxi bit quite amusing - reasonably snappily written.

Was wasting time in Newcastle earlier, waiting for a friend who is never on ******* time, and popped into The Works. Noticed they had the book for £3. Guess I'll wait until after the TV show has finished before I start on reading it though.

just watched all episodes currently released.. brilliant show.. what nights are they added to amazon?

Very good episode and agree with above poster; they play well of each other. Only one more episode to go!

Really?

Feels like theres a hell of a lot more to show. Unless it's all saved for future seasons.

I've just started the book, unusual for the show to add so much extra (so far as i've read), usually tv/film adaptations cut a lot out.
