Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Finished all major plotlines earlier with 108hrs played and 97% complete. I had to rush my final 2-3hrs of play because I was fearing seeing spoilers on Reddit and especially YT as I narrowly missed a spoiler video thumbnail last night. Glad it is done and dusted.

Origins has this beat by a mile for the main stories, whilst Odyssey wins when it comes to First Civ/Isu related content. They really need better writers for the next game though.

Completely agree with MarkeR and his storyline play order. I went a different route but it doesn't make much of a difference overall.

1. Atlantis
2. Family
3. Cult

Having done the main plots, there is still an absolute TON of stuff ingame left! There is still one entire island on the far right of the map that I haven't even touched, and a good amount of city/island yellow quests remaining. I'd say you're easily looking at 200hrs of content in this game.

I suppose Im not overly surprised that one has some aspects better and the other has other aspects better, I read that the 2 games were largely developed simultaneously, if thats the case then the next game will be much more of a lessons learned situation where they can hopefully combine what worked in each game

Yeah they were developed side by side so I do hope they now take a good year long break in order to come up with a better grand plan for the next title. I am still looking forwards to news of the upcoming DLC's and since they're not due yet I don't think there is any point in purchasing a season pass just yet?

I have a favour to ask, can anyone with the 2080ti run the benchmark at 4K high preset but with resolution scales 140% & 200% and let me know how it goes? Cheers!

You do get small bonus it seems of owning the season pass in advance of the first season pass DLC becoming available. You get a bonus quest called: "The Secrets of Greece" apparently.

I don't want to always be complaining about patches but 1.05 is much worse for me. Cutscenes are jittery and clothing glitches. No way to roll it back with the Ubi launcher I suppose?

Loving the game but sometimes I think there is too much to do. I'll be doing a quest, get sidetracked onto another and then forget what I have to do for the quest I initially started.

Hah, thats kinda why I got all the question marks out the way as I always get side tracked real bad. Having got all them done. Now enjoying the story and bigger side missions in a nice flow.

Aha, cheers for that. Think I'll hold out for a bit I suppose. Still plenty to do post game completion even though it is becoming stale quite fast. Once you've seen one cave/fort/camp etc they all seem too similar.

Seemed to occur to me last night too :(
Did you find any solution?

Can't believe I'm saying this, given I've completed the game but I just worked out that the icon (that I thought was just a graphic) nexto the inventory loot bag is actually an active button that takes you to your engraving list/challenges :o All this time I've been pondering how to level up my engravings :o :o

/me equips Sword of Damokles. Looks like Athenians and Spartans are back on the menu boys!

What's the best graphic settings for 1080ti @ 3440*1440? Is one of the presets enough or is there a particular setting that cripples the FPS?

I've set to Ultra but I'm around 40fps with that.

Use hardware unboxed guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chqQanHcvHk tells you optimisations to make for no real visual loss over everything maxed.

With their settings suggested at end with most things cranked up, hold about 70-80 FPS on similar monitor (3440 x 1440 @ 100hz) with a 1080Ti (2000 MHz / 12Gbps) even in the most dense area's.

The single biggest FPS killer is the volumetric clouds, dropping this 1 - or particularly 2 - notches gives a healthy FPS boost whilst sacrificing little quality.
