How many Focus ST owners on here

got the chip in the passenger door repaired and the colour is perfect (EO), it cost the guy who damaged it just under €1000. It was the same Ford i used for the full rear respray the last time they took 8 weeks and had to fly a colour specialist over from Ford Germany.

They also had a look at my boost issue and re-calibrated the car and it seems to be sorted.

We replaced the Boost solenoid a few weeks back but this did not fix it, also no pipe cracks or loose pipes and it was not the oil diaphram.

give him time, he's probably still making it burp by backing off the throttle.. that amused me for 4 years and 2 cars!

lol :D I bet he is.

Glad to hear you finally got sorted mate and I did mention 'EO' to Andr3w but he's just pure Asbo :D

HI GUYZ!!

Picked it up about 3 hours ago and just got back...tehehe :p

Loving it so far and yes I do like putting my foot down then letting off....then putting it back on again ha! Love the drive its smooth and easy to enjoy.

one question: In the arm rest there is a USB port - am I right in thinking I can plug my iPhone into it and somehow play my music though the car stereo?

I'll get some pics up at the weekend!

Don't believe the trip on your computer, mines at least 2 below what it actually gets (I use FuelLog for Android).

If your first month is anything like mine, you'll be spending at least £500 on fuel, get a Fuel Loyalty card if you don't have one already, I've put over 800 litres of fuel in the past 3 months, V-Power club here I come :D

Yes mate, you need a special cable though. It should have a 3.5mm jack and usb connection with the other end being for your ipod / phone. Oh and congrats again :)

Yeh I have a 3.5mm AUX port and a USB port. I understand the AUX port is basically like plugging my iPhone into headphones i.e I won't be able to change songs from the centre console. What is the USB port for?

Haha uh oh ! Good job I have a shell loyalty card :D!

Do you all put shell v-power or equivalent in or just the normal stuff?

how have you not gone and plugged every combination of everything you own into it and then read the manual at great length?

thats what I do when I get this excited about a car!

I would have done but i'm stupidly busy with work. I managed to pick the car up and have a drive and now i'm laid in bed with my eyes stinging from tiredness :(

My weekend (and hopefully friday if I can book it off) will be full of stuff like that.

Like I said mate you need the cable I mentioned, one that has both a 3.5mm jack (aux) plug and a USB connection at one end and then at the other the Apple ipod / phone connection. This lets you plug one end into your phone / ipod and the other two (3.5mm jack and USB) into the connections inside the armrest. Now you will be able to listen to your songs and change them from the control stalk on the steering column while charging your phone / ipod at same time :) Oh and don't go to Ford to buy one hit the bay instead, miles cheaper.

As for fuel I myself use BP Ultimate, it's as good as it gets over here (97 RON). :)

Also I'm going to be fitting a decat pipe this Saturday, anyone got a useful "How-To"?

Jack car up, unclip sensor, try undoing rusty bolt, round off the rusty bolts on the cat, get the angle grinder out, grind the bolts off, remove cat, use a pipe spanner to remove sensor from cat, install sensor into decat pipe, bolt back on to car and clip the sensor back in, put car down, job jobbeed :p

I presume installing the sensor back onto the decat pipe is an easy job then?

Is there a way to get this USB connection if it doesn't exist? Knowing ford they tend to have all the wires there hidden, but wont have the USB slot accessible.

Anyone tried it?

You get a plug and play kit from Ford or eBay where I got mine, my iPod touch and iPhone don't work on it, i dont even think it charges them :( but USB memory sticks do, so you have folders of albums on your memory stick, change radio station/CD button in the stalk will cycle through folders/albums, change track/radio search switch on the stalk will cycle through the songs in the folder/album you're on.

Assuming you get it out using the correct tool, yes, it just screws into the hole in the decat pipe. A lambda spanner or the correct size pipe spanner will reduce the risk of rounding it off using a normal spanner or adjustable.

I use Shell V-Power religiously, the only time i'll use anything else is when i'm running REALLY low at work and will put a few quid in at the BP garage to get to Shell. BPs fuel is only 97RON and feels different. I have used Tesco's Momentum, but it's a bit out the way so don't really bother with it.

Main reason I suppose is I have a shell card, 2 points for every litre of V-Power once you join the club after your first quarter :)
