Hurricane pack is coming out soon, for the NG hardcore!

Faster
New view controls
New weapon
New enemies, bosses
New costumes...

And apparently harder than ever! :D

Still haven't managed to finish it on very hard yet tho, it's rough...
Not got all the scarabs either. :(

Have you even read the thread, I've mentioned it about 5 times so far :p

I was playing it over the weekend on Hard, and it's not that hard really, except some of the bosses. Alma was a pain though, was trying to kill her without using Ninpo, but in the end I had to use some to get past her. Just got up to the Helicopter battle on level 9, will hopefully finish it and start again on Very Hard this weekend.

i want this game but everywhere i look it costs like 30+ smakeroonies... i hate paying that much for a game :(

Me to , but this is excellent value.
My first play through was 35 hours.
Then there are loads of hidden bits and "challenges" to complete in game.
3 difficulties and bonus items for succesive play through.

And if that wasnt enough the Hurricane pack is as close to a new game you can get.

You will not be disapointed.

the three dragons in the city??

Ah yeah, the Monastery level 5. An easy (if a bit cheap) way to beat them is to use lots of wall attacks, that's how I did it first time. Do remember though, that unlike a lot of the bigger enemies, they actually do stagger when you hit them, so you can lay a nice combo down on them if you get the chance. Let them charge you, roll to the side, then hit them with an XYXXXX combo for some nice damage. A few of them will see them dragon off. Also remember that when you kill them they generally drop red or blue essense, which you can use to charge for an ultimate attack, one of which will kill a dragon in one hit (as long as it's a full ultimate, not just a single yellow essence ultimate).

Hope that helps mate :)

ps, they're not the boss of that level either ;)

Yeah cheers mate, i did do it and then the tentacle thing got me ,lol:)

Been playing it on Hard this weekend, and I've got to say, Unlaboured Flawlessness > *. I got enough money to upgrade the sword on level 10, and it kicks major arse. One counter can kill most normal fiends in one hit (killing multiple if they're in the way), and the fully charged ultimate attack can kill almost anything in it's way. It does make the game a bit easy though, even on hard, as I did the 80 red dragon fiend challenge without using any elixers, and I did the 80 fiend challenge in the Peristyle Passageway twice (left first time on 78, went back in for more kills :D), again without using any elixers, or losing any health. Still, the game rocks big time, will definitely be trying this again on Very Hard when I'm done in Hard mode. :D

I think that the upgraded Dabilharo is more powerful than unlabored flawlessness UNLESS you're on low health.

I'm not quite confident enough in my ability to run that sort of risk so the big D is my weapon of choice. Really looking forward to throwing my little brother off the Xbox so I can have a burn on the Hurricane Pack though!

I tried both against the red dragon fiends, and found it took 1 1/2 combo's to kill them with either weapon, but it seems that when you use the Unlaboured Flawlessness, the fiends drop much more essence than if you use any other weapon. Since getting it, I've gained another 100,000+ yellow essence, been able to buy anything I wanted, whenever I wanted :D

O h right cheers, just couldnt see ti on xbox.com, im at work at mo, so ill download it when i get in:)

Interesting. I did notice that ULF has different combos, as well. Particularly the good ol' Inazuma drop. I just spent ages gathering the essence to upgrade to it and was a little underwhelmed. Honestly, I found the game fairly tough on medium difficulty and when I found that I'd messed up the consecutive play thing by starting a new game, I was a bit peeved and haven't played since.

How did you mess up the consecutive play? Did you save over your original game?

Oh, and the best place to get the essence I found was on level 10. On hard you have to kill 40 beetles in one room to get a Jewel of the Demon Seal. You can then go right back down for an 80 fiend challenge. There is also a passageway that spawns 12 fiends every time you go through, easy way to make major money :D
