**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

I was getting this too. Setting a tdrdelay in the registry fixed it for me.

Nope, none. Every game runs noticeably better than with my 980Ti @3440x1440. Only game causing me issues is Mass Effect Andromeda... at max everything, it crashes with a DX low memory error. I doubt its the card.

EDIT:- letting windows control my pagefile seems to have fixed the issue. I didn't think a pagefile would be an issue on an 1TB SDD with tonnes of space.

Anyway - game running at max EVERYTHING, 3440x1440... I cannot believe i'm getting 60+ fps constantly (cutscenes don't count :p)

What a BEAST of a card! Well worth the 8 weeks of pre-order! :D

Hey brother - thanks for the reply, appreciated.

I did install the Firestorm from the CD but d/l'ed and installed the latest Firestorm, which when run has no option listed anyplace for spectre. Hmmm... I'll keep messing around and see what happens. Thanks again.

EDIT:- found another Firestorm download - this one allows spectre colour change! They don't make it easy. Thx so much brother!

I had to do the same, took a few versions to get it sorted. I have a fair bit of sag too - trying to figure out a neat way to support the card.

I have ordered a an Atlas Graphics Card Brace from the US to support my AMP Extreme. Was recommended on one of the GPU reviews. There was an acrylic one available on the bay, but it looked a little thick.

Edit: I have changed to the acrylic option. Only £15, will see how it goes.

Was looking at something like this but in the end it's pointless, i don't have any issues or sag and the fact is the card has a solid frame anyway and is held by 2 bolts, it's not going anywhere, plus i think they make you rig look crap tbh.

Edit if you have a glass case that is.

The acrylic version looks better than the equivalent metal version. For £15 I will just take a chance. My case has an inbuilt GPU support and initially I thought it was in the way, but actually I think I was using it incorrectly. Fortunately, I think the only cables that I put through there were the 8pins for the card itself, so easy to look at again.

Yeah i imagine the acrylic one would look better somewhat, I've cable tied my black pcie cables neatly to the back side through the heatsink, so you hardly notice it and i think it adds a little support somewhat, i think the case would need a serious jolt to cause any damage though, those pcie ports are rock solid lol.

Hello all. I previously had an 1080Ti Asorus Extreme but sent it back as it kept crashing when in OC mode via there software. There was no coil whine though. I thought it was expensive for £800 especially if their Oc mode ( point I bought it for ) did not work. In gaming mode it boosted to 1960 and stayed there. However I managed to find a normal Asorus for a lot cheaper and have bought that. That gets delivered today so will be interesting to see the speed difference ( if any ). However it was a lot cheaper and that's a nice saving. Will test both to see if there is any difference at all.

Anyone experienced any coil whine on the Inno3D cards?

been recommended here and a few places with running Unigine for a good few hours. Seeing a lot of Ti's with coil whine from flagships to FE's .
Worth a shot if you need to be somewhere for a few hours, next would be a friend with another high quality PSU.

If its still there an your not happy with it RMA :(

The only difference really is the backplate on the extreme version and a slightly higher power limit. Otherwise same pcb. What ever the card your always limited to chip quality more than anything else.

I had the standard aorus before I returned and decided on the MSI. Both boosted to 1974mhz and OC wise, both maintained over 2ghz 24/7 so very happy.

Be interesting to see how this goes as they have dropped a lot lately.

Hello all just spent 2 hours in Battlefield 1 ( This title is great for testing for myself as games crash or the game won't even start if theres an unstable overclock ) using the included aorus program and the Oc mode it boosted to 1982 and stayed there. I remember my extreme also boosted to around 1990 in gaming mode as OC crashed too much.

so for a huge price diff its safe to say I am very happy with the normal version. Slightly less clock 10 mhz and 1 less year guarantee for a saving of over a lot of dosh.

Oh I forgot to add I have NO coil whine but I do have an Antec HCP 1300W which I just checked I bought in 2014 from ocuk for £150. Still running strong.

Sounds good Azrael1 you are better of with the standard Aorus the extreme is not worth the extra money, all 1080ti`s clock the same give or take 50mhz and 50mhz = around 1 to 2 FPS max and with the standard Aorus costing around £20 to £30 more than an FE based card depending where you buy I say that extra money for the Aorus cooler is well worth it.
