Hello all just spent 2 hours in Battlefield 1 ( This title is great for testing for myself as games crash or the game won't even start if theres an unstable overclock ) using the included aorus program and the Oc mode it boosted to 1982 and stayed there. I remember my extreme also boosted to around 1990 in gaming mode as OC crashed too much.
so for a huge price diff its safe to say I am very happy with the normal version. Slightly less clock 10 mhz and 1 less year guarantee for a saving of over a lot of dosh.
Oh I forgot to add I have NO coil whine but I do have an Antec HCP 1300W which I just checked I bought in 2014 from ocuk for £150. Still running strong.
glad to hear Stand Aorus is doing you a treat. I'd noticed with my 580 XTR that Aorus software caused crashes to the card but wattman didn't, went through with Customer Service and was told to give pending Software update a try and sure enough, worked out a treat.
Least you've saved yourself some cash but still hitting the high boosts! sure some OC wiggle room in there too! dont forget to sign up for the 4 yr warranty!!
Ordered a Gigabyte AORUS today, should have it tomorrow. Now I need to find a new case to fit this into as my current case is a few cm too short.
was surprised by how small this card was considering its triple 100mm fans but yeah, seems cards are still getting longer and longer
