*** Oculus Quest 2 Owners Thread ***

I know I am putting the cart before the horse here, as they say, and it's not good to think too far ahead.
As a lot of the features of the quest pro will probably trickle down to the Quest 3 to be released next year, or so we hope, if you were going to buy the Quest 3 when it is released, would you sell off your Quest 2 or just keep it as a backup?

nah, dont need a backup

Ha! I've still got my original 3 sensor Rift set up in the mancave even though I have a Q2. Still such a comfy headset.

Can only use one at the time :). Personally I couldn't see me playing Q2, if I owned a Q3.

Does anyone else get periods of high lag when playing Alien Isolation with MotherVR over PC Link? I've had to completely ditch running it on Steam as it just crashes now and am now playing the Epic Games version. I'm using the Oculus controller over the Xbox controller as I'm struggling to get the xbox controller to work with the Epic Game version.

It's been a couple of years since I played it in VR and that was on the Rift S, I just wondered if this is a thing and if there's anything I can do to improve this.

It's not a dealbreaker but it's just a bit of immersion breaking is all.

So I have Quest 2 for the next 4 days and I have a gaming PC, I have already tried this at work a little bit and played that game Beat Saber game and was blown away by how good VR is.
What should I try from the Meta store and what should I try to play on my gaming PC using VR? I want to spend some more time with Quest 2 as this will be the only chance for me to have VR headset for free and possible purchase something in the future.

I presume you want free experiences?

Or you could get VR mods for some regular steam games? Some have been done very well I believe, and you may already have them. Alien Isolation was given out free by Epic Games a while ago, so you might have that?

I'm really looking to expand my VR title list now that my new graphics card has arrived, but there doesn't seem to be many titles that appeal - in particular with single player campaigns. Alyx:HL has ruined everything! lol

Just bought Red Matter and The Walking Dead S&S for PCVR as they were both on a decent sale. Already got Blade & Sorcery, Pavlov, VTOL, Climb 2, Green Hell and few others.

On my PCVR wishlist waiting for discounts is:

Hot Dogs Horseshoes & Hand Grenades
Onward
SURV1V3
Boneworks
Contractors (not sure about this one)
Into the Radius
Hellsplit: Arena
Hard Bullet
Afterlife (not sure about this one)
Red Matter 2

I don't know if any of these will be any good though and if there's anything decent I'm missing?

Ah thank you, didn’t see that thread.

And you should really look into playing wirelessly anyway, far more immersive and fun. Just need a decent home router, or directly link a cheap wifi 6 router to your PC for a fantastic time. Might need to buy Virtual Desktop (through the quest store), if airlink doesn't run smoothly enough for you. I have using the cable vs playing wirelessly.
