Vivecraft is the best VR minecraft BTW. It uses the Java edition and has full hand presence. You can even mine blocks by hand if you want a work-out. (But it's easier to press a button).

Couldn't agree more. I had it running on my old server with 200-odd mods. Seeing various multi-block machines at "real" size is incredible. Minecraft is one of the funny games - I had to use the point and click method of moving around. Sliding around with the joystick on the controller makes me so motion sick!

Is anyone else having issues not being able to bluetooth pair their new headset to an iPhone running iOS 14?

Been trying to pair for an hour, it simply not happening and the headset is stuck on the pairing screen.

Still waiting for mine to appear...seems to have gone missing between being dispatched from Very.co.uk suppliers & arriving At Yodel...just talked to Very's customer service & was told to allow 24 hrs for it to arrive at Yodel...we shall see.

I cancelled my initial order as it wasn't being delivered 'til next week. Now I'm being told it's arriving Friday or sooner. Looks like I'll have another one to play with.

Mine arrived. Love it, both my 11 year old and 4 year old were in hysterics. What a fantastic bit of kit.

I purchased the HTC Vive on launch, unfortunately after the initial awe its just collected dust. The fact I have to be chained my desktop in my upstairs home office, plus the wires really made playing it a chore. So haven't bought another VR headset since.

With the Oculus Quest 2 we've all been in the lounge downstairs playing it, with it also casting to the TV so we can see what we're doing.

Still waiting for my Elite Battery Strap, Case and Fit Kit to come.

Tried casting to my firestick, but didn't seem to work. Wondering if it's because I have it wired to the router, rather than using Wifi? Shouldn't make a difference I guess, but seems a suspect to do so.

Yeah it's very capable of making you feel ill if you don't have VR legs. I think that's one reason why it hasn't appeared on Quest yet.

Oh, if anyone wants to try a really chill experience play AirCar. It's a free experience of flying through a Blade Runner style city. It's on Oculus PC and Steam VR. Just don't try rolling or looping the craft, or you'll likely hurl.

Getting virtual desktop installed was a small faff but my lord is it worth it!
Played a quick few games on Pavlov and a round of Phasmophobia and it was fantastic both times.
Quality didnt seem any worse than my Rift S and fels almost as smooth. The 90hz update will be a welcome one.

Lag wise, according to the desktop app it was between 20-30ms. Which to me in game was /near/ inperceptable, it was a little obvious during slower movements with a gun in pavlov but still perfectly playable.

Dont see any need for oculus link now, VD does a great job and being wireless is worth the slight lag.

Just tried some 3D movies I'd converted and they look incredible. In fact I think I'm going to have to go back and encode at a higher resolution because the Quest 2's screen is so sharp it's obvious they're upscaled. (Movies are 1080p Side-by-side).

How are you playing them

Just got the best sabre demo and I'm definitely buying it

Just got VD working also. Sharpness in Steam VR home environment is night and day compared to Quest 1. Absolutely awesome. Went into a Snellen environment and it was way better than before but still couldn't see the 20/20 vision line unfortunately. Then VD streamer crashed on me. I am going to seriously need a new GPU to drive this resolution.

Id be interested to know what bitrate settings people are seeing in VD. My slider went up to 32 Mbps on the desktop stream and 117 Mbps on the game streaming setting, but I was seeing 150 on some of the youtuber's videos. This could be because I dont have wifi 6?
