***THE BF4 BENCHMARKS THREAD***

Some China Rising benchies.

Ultra/4xAA, FXAA off. 85FOV, 100% res scaling.

7970CF @1200/1700, 13.11 b9.5 (13.12 caused issues with mining, so rolled back)
2600K @4.7

Couldn't find a populated enough Altai Range server.

ED: Might want to disregard the earlier trifire benches as I may or may not have had powerplay support disabled, which may go some way towards explaining the 57fps mins with both xfire and trifire.

Jumped on a 64 man Shanghai server post patch to see if the crossfire flickering was fixed. Yup so bumped back up to full ultra and rejoined server. Still same mins hitting the 40's. My CPU is only at 4.2GHz atm but good god I want Mantle if it does what it says it does.

Richeh +1 when i have the performance graph up in game 95 of spikes are CPU related - dunno if any of that is network lag or what.

I suffered from the same thing in BF3 - really annoying

Just checking in a triple screen bench on my newly water cooled system. [email protected] | SLI GTX 780@1100 | 5900X1080

Ultra/4xAA, FXAA off. 60FOV, 100% res scaling.

Dawnbreaker - 64 man
Frames Time (ms) Min Max Avg
68032 988625 42 102 68.815

Max temps: CPU 66C | GPUs 47C | loop 37C
Max power draw: 610W

Scaling rather variable but can see that one of the threads hit 99% max utilisation and another 92% so clearly CPU bottlenecked. Looks like my CPU block may need reseating as well as the max temp seems very high for a game. Don't remember it getting this toasty during the beta when I was using a H100 for cooling.

60deg FOV looks realistic to me. My screens are set (distance and angle) to give 150deg field of view in real life. I'm not too sure how the FOV is calculated in BF4 when using surround resolutions but horizontally I'm definitely getting way more than 60deg.

At the moment I am downloading BF4 onto my HD 5970 system for a bit of quadfire action.

Do you guys recon it will run and if so at what settings.

I will be using my TV as a monitor so the max resolution will be 1080p

I kinda need it for the graphs/OC stuff and HWinfo OSD.
Seeing as I managed to use it for those China Rising benches, I'm not actually sure when it was screwed up.
Then again, I have been drinking...

Dunno tbh. I thought you had to run both to get the detailed OSD from HWinfo. Could just try it I guess.
It's not hugely important anyway, I just like to see all the numbers :D

All this time, I figured that disabling AB would mean your clock settings would be cancelled :o Just tried it and GPU-Z still shows them as being where they should be.

Live and learn eh? :D
