The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - MODS & TWEAKS

I don't know why enb released anything yet, I think it's just a ini file.. it's very confusing and deceptive for people.

The real Enb mod is currently in development and not yet released. The patch people expect from enb will add ssao. So should give a overall better lighting effect with shadows etc. Rather than the current mods that just increase contrast and sharpness to give a ugly over saturated effect.

That's what Boris has to say about his "mod":

Fixes bugs:

GRAPHIC: flame from dragons breath, other fire and magix fx invisible, volumetric fog, black dots on the screen or kind of black fence on it, other related to graphics (if you have them). Also it have property to increase quality of shadow texture for reducing "pixelation" (it's not a smooth shadows).

SOUND: stuttering and some unplayed sound (not everyone have such).

PERFORMANCE: this patch not increase performance as framerate (only for some WinXP or very specific systems), but it fix freezing of the game in about 5 seconds when traveling the world. Performance increased for shadow quality "Ultra".

GENERIC: Some users noticed no black screens ar bsod any more.

Someone said in the offical skyrim thread that there's a mod out for xbox 360 controller to set up to 7 hot keys:

there is a mod out which adjusts the controller text file to allow you to have up to 7 hotkeys on the xbox controller d-pad now. its out on skyrimnexus. imo the controller works better on skyrim.

Can anyone give me the link?

Thanks in advance. :D

This is the one I currently use.

Very nice, eight favourites, plus quick save and load.

I'll give that a go tonight, cheers...I dont plan on using many key bindings on joypad but one or two would be nice, the rest of the buttons already are used for useful actions which I wouldn't want to unbind.

I think they should release joypads with more buttons on next consoles, PS4 and xbox 460 lol:D

EDIT: BTW whilst we're on the discussion of joypads, did you guys know you can buy a little gadget to plug in your PC via USB and then you can use your wireless xbox 360 joypad with PC...I thought I would mention this as lots of you have said in this thread and the other skyrim official thread that you like to use xbox controller with this game and others and I think its a useful gadget. It's called "Microsoft Xbox 360 Crossfire Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows - Black" £14.95...its for sale on a very commonly used gaming website that I wont link encase my post gets deleted.

The game gives you two favourites using the d-pad. This mod gives you eight using the d-pad and the back and start buttons(utilising a "shift" button). In addition, it gives you quick save and load again using the shift button. So you don't remap any of your existing gamepad buttons. :)

Not sure how those figures can be right, I'm only on a Phenom II x3 @3.5GHz with 5850 and my average FPS is practically pinned to 60 (I have the dx9 fps limiter)?

I cannot believe you get 60fps at all times if you are playing fully maxed out at 1080p. I would say that is impossible, especially when within cities.
