The Pascal GTX 1080 Ti Owners Thread

Well coming from 2 Titan XM's to 1 1080Ti i'm very happy with the performance.

Currently running 2088 core and 5900 mem @ 41c and not had a single issue so far so will push it more today :D

Crappy SLI was putting me off playing games so i'm happy i decided to ditch it for a single card.

Also happy i got into custom watercooling, will never go back to AIO / Air.

Custom cooling is nice and also very cheap once you have made the initial outlay for the loop.

When you upgrade to a newer card the only part you have to change is the waterblock.

If you are careful with the placement of quick disconnects a new GPU can be fitted in seconds if you prefill the block before placing the card into the loop.

maybe, i really liked my gigabyte waterforce and the 1080 version was good too. no reason to suspect the 1080ti version will be poor.

gigabyte showed that GPU aio units can be decent.

the problem with the seahawk is that it has no completion as the waterforce has not even been announced yet. it won't be 899 when the waterforce has been out for a month or so.

Well it took me longer to fit the block and back plate than it did to drain my loop and fit it :D

But i was very cautious as I didn't even test the card just put a block straight on it but its working great.

Been playing quite a few games and the 1080Ti runs them all great at 3440x1440.

I have bit of a specific request of any of you lovely chaps who have a 1080ti,

If you have a 3440x1440 screen & Star Citizen could you perhaps load into crusader around olisar and check what your Vram usage is please? My 1080 gets to 7.8-9 and i think it's just capped and the rest is system reserved. Curious as to how high it goes. Thanks in advance :).

It will be total usage. At which it will cap out in afterburner/gpu-z at 8192mb.

Know this because I had my old 980's at 4076/4096mb at 4K and still ran fine :D.

did some temp vs. noise testing this morning on my setup my card will sit at 75-100% load in Elite D with a +150/+500 OC at 52C with just the pump running and no fans spinning.

It complains all the time that its not getting enough power or volts :(

*sigh* i finally crumbled and pre-ordered a Strix OC - should be a nice update from my venerable 980ti at 3440 x 1440.

Now I just have to try to avoid buyer remorse :D

And be a very patient guy! I think this is the most popular AIB card out there! Im hoping that this week stock will be in...

Just ordered a second FE card from Palit this time.

I was forced lol to save £20 because EVGA did not have anything in stock at OcUK.

I'm thinking of ditching my step up (three weeks and queue is still "pending"). Alternative is to sell my 1060 and 1080 and buy any FE that has three year warranty. I'll probably end up out of pocket by around £50 but at least I'll actually have the card in use.

Availability is woeful.

Got more clarification from msi on those who want to watercool there 1080ti's.
Ticket:
Cooler removal.

Content:
Dear Troy, Yes, the original cooler can be changed to different one. As long the original cooler is put back on the card for warranty claim. However, our engineers will examine the return condition of graphic card. To avoid the warranty is void, ask the retailer for help for installing a watercooler instead of stock coolers. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Thanks. Best regards, MSI component service team.

So really the same as other vendors.

Never got round to posting but when you have no paper to hand... Just use your hand :D
Gave Zotac another go with the FE as at the time was only one in stock.
