Here's a pic of the msi card in my pc and even though its a small case the cards runs in the 50's-60's while gaming, all at stock speeds though. Sorry about the glass reflections. I dont see the point having a large case if your not going to use all the room up as it only takes up more desk space.. I like small and discreet, even though I have a huge screen..lol

Nice set-up, plenty of munchies, all you need is one of those mini fridges for the pop.
How often do the games you play have issues with this aspect ratio/resolution & which games?
Welcome and on TROH.

To get on the Roll of Honour all you have to do is post a pic with your user name on it of your Radeon RX 5700 XT.
I only play dirt rally using the full resolution of 3840x1080 because the incar view looks dam cool. I have made a custom res of 2560x1080 that I use with most other games I have, this is because of 2 reasons.
1 there's too much happening on the screen at 3840x1080 and it messes with my head.
2 I cant do with the stretchyness of games at the sides using the full res.
Getting the aspect ratio correct has been a bit of a pain as I play games like the "command & conquer series" and "alien isolation" that stretches to fit the entire screen at low resolutions, unless I set it to "scaling mode: centre" in the ati settings/panel... Games that forces you to play at the full resolution and wont change, I have found that changing the resolution before you run the game works. So for those games I use "display changer" that changes the resolution to whatever (2560x1080 for me) before launching the game automatically and then automatically changes the resolution back when you quit the game.
Weird all these issues people are reporting. I've had none however...I had fresh install of W10 on X570 and only ever used 5700XT drivers, no legacy or Nvidia leftovers messing things up.
I suspect if people put their card in a similar system most of the issues would disappear.
I was thinking games like Dirt rally would be where it shines
I use a 21:9 which is pretty good but I can see how much better that would be as part of a sim racing set up.
Well I went 2070super,plug in and play straight away as it should!
Fresh windows install etc did nothing, processer is a 3700x maybe they clash.....but hey ho playing Warhammer in 4k now
There are indeed ,first card had major frame rate drops and generally really poor FPS.Same processor as me, must be something else going on. So many variables...
The only difference from the setup I had and his is my monitor was 60HZ without freesync and his is 144hz with freesync.
I think the res I use for most of my games is 21:9(2560x1080), as the strechyness is not as noticeable and you loose a few inches left and right of the screen. So basically you loose the worst of the strechyness left and right and its easier on the head/eyes to take in
@Phil2008
Abit off topic : but what do you use for dirt rally controller or wheel?
Should be a setting in the BIOS to resolve that, using a 49’ displays here. This is quite a minor but annoying problem I have with the 5700.... With my r9 290 the ratio was correct and the display was nice and square in the middle of the screen before loading windows, but now with the 5700 the display is all stretched and I have messed with the monitor settings but I cant get it so its not stretched... With a 49" ultrawide screen its stupidly stretched and just looks ugly when in the bios or booting into windows.. Is it one of those things I just have to put up with or can something be done?
