It is aluminium but copper coating.
Wow, lamer than lame.
Best cpu for a 1080ti? Need a new machine for gaming at 4k
I'd your into streaming and need a lot of cores for any thing other then gaming Ryzen 7, if not i7 7700k @5ghz still king of the hill.
If you got a lot of cash and pure core speed, x299 and i7 7760k for 5.5Ghz ........
Ive since put on my MK-26 air cooler on it with 2 120mm vortex SP fans and temps are now at around 60 with 2ghz boost clock.
Nice improvement, esp with the dirty switch
There.. done with the waiting .. wanted some pure power in the machine again. Bought the cheapest 1080ti on the market. This is the X2 model. Cost me around 610 pounds. The cooler on it is not very good in terms of handling the heat but it is fairly well build. Max temps ive hit with it is 88 degrees at around 1870 boost clock and fans were on auto and peaking at 95% . The case is a carbide air 540 with plenty of 140mm corsair fans.
Ive since put on my MK-26 air cooler on it with 2 120mm vortex SP fans and temps are now at around 60 with 2ghz boost clock. Should be noted that I had ran out of paste so I had to do a dirty swap meaning leaving the remaining paste on the card and on the cooler from the last card it was on. Not something I was thrilled to do and I bet there is atleast 4-5 degrees to be shaven off if i apply some IC7 properly.
Yeah i'm very satisfied considering that nasty filthy switch i had to make . I'm not regretting getting the 1080ti. Lovely card so fare. **** ton of performance in it. More than expected tbh.
