The extra voltage helps when going for overclocks beyond the usual voltage. You can do this via volt mod, depending on architecture. Keplar was best because you could put extra power through the card using .bat file and the hexadecimal. Maxwell was locked down to pencil mod or hard mod, gimped on maxwell. Ive not looked at pascal but im sure theres away. I wont be buying a 2080ti because what i have destroys anything and tbh i dont game much nowadays. All my money goes into crypto currency.

Installed on Friday but still having problems getting it to work in pcie slot 1 so not been able to use it properly yet

edit: warning about the gamingx trio.. its a badly machined card.. you will need some one to press the edges of the case while you try to screw the io.. and this happened with a MSI branded case

i think i have been able to recreate this issue.. seems like vc++ 2008 issue that may require a full windows installation.. meanwhile i was researching on evga precision x one.. is it advisable for use with msi cards?

edit: my holidays are going down the drain.. think i should switch to consoles

Yeah its surprising maybe its to expensive for most people and we don't know if this ray tracing is all its cracked up to be as well.

My wife and I have decided to cancel our RTX 2080 and RTX 2080Ti orders - simply tired of waiting. Ordered both on the launch date aug. 20th and now both orders got post poned for the 5th time Gigabyte RTX 2080Ti Windforcemaybe in stock 15th of november and MSI RTX 2080 Duke maybe in stock 12th of december.... heck no. Waiting almost 6 months for a RTX is ridiculous.

That is a long wait. However other sites have had stock and shipped them. Friend of mine only ordered couple of weeks ago and his Gigabyte RTX 2080Ti is already with him. Have seen other places have stock of cards or short delays( days or a week or 2 )

I decided not to pre order on launch day.

If I get a 2080 Ti I will buy one of the better ones like the EVGA FTW3 when they are available in the next few weeks.

I notice that FE cards are now available to order but events have moved on with other AIB cooling solutions that will be on the market soon.

RTX 2080Ti haven't been in stock in months in Denmark. Only some certain RTX 2080 models are available - the wife was only interested in the MSI RTX 2080 Duke OC because we managed to order both cards on launch day where there was an "early bird" £100 rebate (pr order) for the first 100 orders.

It’s a brave man who flashes the BIOS with a non-FE BIOS on their >£1100 card.
