Aorus for me was noticeably louder than my current MSI. Unless there was a problem with my card. 70c=83% fan speed vs 58% on the msi both on stock fan profile.

But overall I just found the Msi of greater quality too. Looked and felt better quality. Also has black thermal pads which blend in where the aorus are quite thick grey ones which really stand out.

small attention to detail , which to be fair when you fork out a lot of money should be addressed . think Alphacool supplied almost white-grey pads thick can be 2.5mm thick and can be seen from space with that gap-age haha

With all respect I don't think many people are going to run them at 100% in fact my temps in games barely get the fans kicking in at all lol, it's pretty much inaudible as the first german reviewer of the amp extreme said, but yes all custom cards are miles apart from the FE crap.

you'll be surprised, it seems UK and EU market are the most fussy with sound. seem Asia they just want performance for the cheapest - then again they do seem to lock themselves in a room for 14 hours straight and are with head phones attached to them (couldnt resist )

Had Aorus 580 and thought card was broken when running Firestrike benchmarks as they didnt turn on- coming from using 480s I was almost in a state of shock haha

It was a pre-order from Amazon UK. I ordered on the 24th April the day it was listed on the website. They told me they won't have any stock till the 9th June, gave up and cancelled because that's just absurd. I don't know how they can expect their customers to wait 46 days for their order to arrive lol, what a joke.

Ah ok fair enough! The whole launch by EVGA has been a mess as we all know. Think you made the right choice bailing as no eta was known.

I feel your pain brother.

I cancelled my 1080Ti through them as well. EVGA GTX1080 release fiasco continues on the 1080Ti. I'll be skipping EVGA next series.

Yeah, if I can snag one when it's actually in stock then I will but if not then screw EVGA and Amazon both. EVGA for one doesn't treat the EU fairly. They will continue to completely prioritize US customers and as a result continue to lose customers in the EU/ROW. Their loss :)

Amazon is a complete and utter joke lol. Really beginning to think their suppliers are actually snails. EVGA needs to start treating customers equally otherwise they're going to keep losing sales. What is the point of "award winning" customer service when they can't even meet their own ETA's and keep up with demand? they took way too many preorders on their own website and due to that they couldn't ship any cards out to 3rd party retailers for a few weeks hence the ridiculous delays. Other AIB partners like Asus, Zotac, Palit, MSI, KFA2/Galax all managed to distribute their line up of GPU's around the world without fail so why is EVGA incapable of doing that. They've grown rapidly and they can't keep up, if they continue like this they won't be #1 for much longer.

Clearly EVGA didn't learn anything from the 1080 fiasco and then they go and do the same with the 1080ti, they must have lost out on a number of sales. Personally I don't really like the look of their newer cards, they look a bit cheap looking to me.

Yeah evidently they didn't. Surely they must have realized the loss of sales and started to look into what exactly the reason is for that... like I said, if they continue like this it's only going to keep getting worse for them. I think this year, MSI, Asus and Zotac dominated the market. EVGA lost out big time. Hopefully they learn their lesson in time for Volta.

This year and the last considering the age of pascal by now.

I've gone off EVGA because of this. If they had their cards out much sooner i certainly would have a black or red FTW3 in my PC now.

But users just starting to receive them now (some not even yet), months after other fantastic vendor cards is not acceptable. I expect they have lost out on A LOT of sales.

I hope they have learned by Volta.

Hi Chaps just to update you all. I have had to return my Aorus 1080TI Gigabyte. I have been getting headaches and wondering why since I have had the card. Turns out its generating a very loud Hum / Vibration even when its not stressed its constant.. Its loud enough to be heard over my Case Fans and Case. I put my old EVGA 1080 back in and thats fine. I assumed Coil whine is eletrical screeching but this noise is like nothing else I have ever experienced. I am also not sensitive to noise like some people - yet this.....

Don't know if I should just wait for the next line of GPU's (Vega and Volta) or get a 1080Ti now? I cancelled my FTW3 "pre-order" (placed on the 24th April) from useless Amazon (UK) seeing as they can't even provide me with a stocking date lol. Tbh I don't really trust EVGA anymore either, so I'm thinking Asus or MSI for my next preferred choice of brand. Any recommendations/thoughts would be nice :)

Same here was waiting for evga classified to come out but no chance of that this time round, not sure what other brand to go for.or perhaps just keep the 980 ti until volta.anyone else seeing very few waterblocks for aftermarket gpus.only seen one for strix.

Lucky you at least have a 980Ti lmao, I'm running a 780 Classified on a 1440p Monitor :( might just wait for Volta now... EVGA/Amazon took waaaaaaay to long to distribute these cards. I was going to get the Strix 1080Ti originally but decided to wait for the FTW3, obviously a big mistake. I will never wait for EVGA again, they're ridiculously slow. Also heard reports of the Strix having a very audible/loud coil whine, so that was another factor which prevented me from getting an Asus Strix.
