Is there any water left inside the card (waterblock) after the manufacturers tested it?


Edit just listened to the noise, I think you should RMA the card as there is something very wrong there.

I've asked to return for a refund, just waiting on a reply, not sure what card to go for now.

Not sure how long testing will take and I don't want to be without a card so i'll decide when I get home.

Gibbo does not rate them but some people really like the MSI Lightning Z.

Yes, I don't know what Gibbo is on about - All 1080Ti's pretty much clock the same, so for me the other consideration to a fast card is reliability and longevity along with quietness in operation and the Lightning Z offers all that with high quality components and an excellect cooler system - plus I really like the RGB effect they have introduced over the 980Ti Lightning I had before - incidently the 980TI Lightning has the same 3 x 8pin power connectors, so my swap over was straightforward. Yes it's one of the most expensive cards, but then that is your choice

Incorrect there bud, I frequently get 100+FPS in The Division at 1440P max settings with 1 x 1080 Ti, Put it on the ultra preset which doesn't use Nvidia FX and I'm looking at a consistent 100FPS.

Example, Battlefield 1 max settings 1440P, FPS in the top left -

Not at 4k you wont which is what i originally quoted. I have 2xTitan Maxwell and they out perform 1x1080Ti and even i dont get 100fps+ in every game. Infact most games i dont. Even at 1440p you dont which is what ive been running for years.

2 titan Maxwell are faster than a single Ti but i wouldn't say out perform it especially when sli is not 100% scaling. My 1080 Ti chews through 4k quite happily

Are you sure its nothing inside the case? not a fan catching a loose cable or something like that?

Wow that is very strange then. Be interested to find out what it ends up being. If you ever find that out.

Good choice on the FTW3. Love mine and so far the fastest card I've had. Pcb is huge as well. About an inch wider than the Aorus extreme.

If i tilt the case a bit it might vanish for a short while but the noise comes back.

It sounds like one of the heatsink fins or something, just hope i get a refund ok since i bought the new card.

Seems very good, although possibly the blower fan in it is a little rough sounding.
Rest of the fans in my case are Noctuas, so I doubt its them.
(Unless the Noctua I put on the rad is not connected properly)

Anyone else have one and experienced any less than silence?
