Sadly it seems like a very common problem with the Zotacs.
I’m on my 2nd Airo and it’s as bad as the first.
OCUK are looking into it and I’ve sent them a video showing just how bad the noise is.
I’m not sure what they can do other than refund me, which I actually don’t want as I like the look and performance of the card.

With all this talk of faulty fans i decided to check mine this morning on my Zotac Trinity OC and low and behold at least 1 of them is faulty and is making an audible sound that it shouldn't be and upon checking hwinfo and gpu-z one of them is getting up to 6200rpm for a split second Will rma it , shame really as it has a fantastic core and no coil whine but does have a noisy fan My previous 3090 strix was the same and had a faulty fan .

Don't bud, your sample is great! Aren't you planning to water cool it? If that's the case, don't bother as you'll be putting a block on it anyway.

May cause complication when reselling it later, but you only realised it when you knew to look for it. So maybe not an issue.

They've offered me a refund or I guess I could RMA it for another, but that seems a bit pointless as I'll probably get another with faulty fans, and I don't want to waste mine or their time doing this.
So, no idea what to do at the moment

4090FE arrived in the post today, such a fantastic looking card
I just cannot get over how fast the GPU runs, its amazing!
Fortunately I dont have any coil whine (even when testing silly high frame rates), and the card quite happily boosts to around 2780 at stock with temps around 60-65C.

Same for me with the Zotac Amp Extreme Airo, zero coil whine and fans are very quiet.

Just been playing with this card in my system. The performance is top notch can't fault it, however, the sound from the fans took me by surprise.

The first thing I noticed was at 30% fan speed (around 1100rpm) when card heats up to around 45C the fan spins up and becomes quite audible, however as others have mentioned there is a strange noise on top of the noise from the blades which makes the card even louder. After previously owning a MSI RTX 3090ti Gaming X Trio, that card was at best inaudible to me. I am going to be returning and patiently waiting to get either a MSI/ASUS card. Shame really.

Probably for the best, I returned my 4090 Zotac AMP Airo. The fan motors when they kick in above 30% sound awful. There is no tuning it out either, it's a shame as the card was lovely and no coil whine.

That's great, did you get it very recently? Possibly a new batch? Mine and a lot of others experience a terrible bearing or motor sound when the fans receive any amount of power. Usually at 30% fan speed, there was no tuning it out either. Such a shame.

Is there no chance they could justvsend you a replacement fan? Seems excessive to have to RMA if you're going to put a block on anyhow

How's everyone finding their cards after a few weeks of use?

Had my Strix 4090 since the 13th. Done a load of gaming, absolute pleasure to play almost all titles @ 4k near or above 100FPS without DLSS. Must say it's been quite strange seeing Nvidia/4090 critics/AMD fans spend so much time on forums whining/complaining about 4090, 16 pin, price, 4080, meanwhile the owners are just gaming away in GPU heaven

Settled on a power limit of 70%, this decreases power consumption to 320-350W and I only lose 1-4% performance, which is not noticeable to me the vast majority of the time. Definitely the sweet spot for my card.
